So tonight is night 1 of the Democratic convention and we'll hear from John Kasich and Michelle Obama. Thought it would be good to have a central place as the old PDB days.

I Lol when I saw that live. There are definitely going to be moments where Biden shows his age over the next 4 years. Dude is 77, how can he not.

I look forward to all of the "Biden is senile" post, even though they'll grow tiresome.

I fully expect John Oliver to have a segment on Biden gaffes at some point.

Yesterday afternoon there was so much coverage on Obama’s speech I thought for a minute he had given the night before and I somehow missed it

Damn good speech from Biden. And I think the way they closed with the prayers from the three different faiths was powerful as hell.

pretty minor slip up. I mean, the guy probably says, "Hi I'm Joe Biden" like a hundred times a day. It's like when you drive somewhere, and you usually turn right to go to work, but you're trying to go somewhere else, but you start to get in the lane to turn right, because you're on auto pilot.

For someone who is supposedly sundowning, that was quite the Presidential sounding speech. Granted, I would vote for a vaguely demonic toaster over the incumbent this year and I'm not the biggest Joe guy but man, that's what this country needs now. Meanwhile, Trump is throwing a tantrum and talking about sending cops and lawyers to polling locations nationwide. The choice is obvious to anyone who isn't susceptible to cults of personality.
