Thats what i thought. Now prove you know without a doubt that person is actually racist. I'll wait
If it’s what I said when I was accused of being racist, there is no way anyone with an ounce of sense could logically deduce that my statement was racist or sexist. And I get your point. I’m quite sure it happens, in all directions. I don’t surround myself with racists so I don’t see it.Thats what i thought. Now prove you know without a doubt that person is actually racist. I'll wait
I was hoping you'd take the action. You didn't so we can be done. You win. What? Which person are you talking about?
I'm getting winded trying to get to the goal posts.
it wasn't racist. its just how they play the game. pathetic. If it’s what I said when I was accused of being racist, there is no way anyone with an ounce of sense could logically deduce that my statement was racist or sexist. lets get back to your reply, What action would you like? What? LOL.

Ok.
So you posted the following: "Im am betting man and I bet calling people a racist only happens on forums. Never in person. "
I replied "I take that action", not that I necessarily wanted to place an actual wager, but because I have no problem calling anyone out for being racist face to face, if I think they are racist. I'll do that for free.
But then you wanted me to go out and just call some random person a racist.
And then you wanted me to prove someone is racist, without even telling me who.
Do you not see the disconnect here?
Now, I do get the point you are trying to make; there is a lot of "bravery" on the internet. I don't think that is up for debate. But there's also cowardice, people who are not honest about their true feelings. And even rationalization of behavior, " I am not __________ because I __________ "; relevant to this conversation, the classic "I am not racist because I have black friends".

Agreed on the last part. Some are actually telling the truth tho.
I have to tip my hat to Admiral Willard for just answering to that, in the manner he did, with a straight face.
And thank you for making me lose even more hope for all of us.
fair enough. better explanation than "ill take that action". The problem i see here is that a certain group seems to throw out the "racist" term with no way of knowing if its true. It waters down the meaning. My argument still stands, people will call random people on this forum racist. Based on what? The way you interpret someones opinion on a subject? its reckless and pathetic. Peoples life and careers are destroyed by labeling someone racist because you dont agree with them. Ive witnessed countless times on this forum posters calling a certain person racist because they lean a certain way politicly. I guess thats the way forums work. Ill still bet the majority on this forum use the term racist ONLY on the forum, not in person. You may be the exception.Ok.

how dare someone defend them selves being called a racist. those pesky thread derailers..... do you think they should just except being labeled? would that be easier?Well, this thread went off the rails.
No doubt.
I think that a lot of times, people say things that may be racist in nature or could be construed as racist, or xenophobic, homophobic, etc., but that the person who said it wouldn't think of it as such, because they are not, or they don't think they are.
And there are those who either know how to veil it, or think they know how to veil it.
I happen to be versed on the subject, growing up in a racist family, and being racist in my youth.
Personally, I prefer my racism up front and in my face.
Oh, and for the record, I don't think you are racist... just misguided
