The video was edited to portray the gaffe as worse than it actually was. It was not “just shortened” randomly, it cut him off in mid-sentence purposefully to make it look worse than it was. It’s a politically motivated hit piece.

There was no infraction, just pointing out that it was flagged by Twitter, and that should be acknowledged.

Yes, if videos of Trump are altered in a similar manner, they will be flagged as well.

We are serious about having the MCB be a place where people can discuss politics in a respectful way. These sorts of “hit piece” videos are probably more likely to stand in the Mud Pit, or in the respective partisan boards.
There are many examples of Twitter only policing people on the right. I don't think your standard of relying on what Twitter claims is manipulated is what we should go by.

Say what you will, Joe never fails to entertain.

Former Vice President Joe Biden got into a heated and profanity-laced argument with an autoworker Tuesday while touring a factory in Detroit, after the individual accused the Democratic presidential candidate of trying to take away his Second Amendment rights.

"You’re full of sh-- ... I support the Second Amendment," Biden shot back, stressing he's not going to take guns away.

The worker then told Biden, "You're working for me, man," and told Biden that he saw an online video supporting his claim that Biden is hostile to the Second Amendment.

Biden, pointing at the individual as they were mere inches apart in the middle of a crowd, said he's not working for him and told him not to be "such a horse's a--."

Biden, at one point mistakenly referring to "AR-14's," went on to press the individual to acknowledge that machine guns are illegal. Biden appeared to then misspeak in saying AR-15's are illegal, before questioning why anyone needs "100 rounds."

The dispute, caught on camera, happened at the Fiat-Chrysler plant as Biden stumped for votes in Michigan, the biggest prize among the states voting Tuesday with 125 delegates at stake.

I hope Bernie doesn't drop out before those two get a chance to debate. The nation needs to get a chance to see how Biden holds up in a one on one matchup. Of course, that's a little misleading because the moderators will be loading their questions to favor the chosen one.

I hope Biden does that to Trump in a debate lol.. was hoping for that exact moment from Bernie but seems like it'll be Biden and apparently he's up to the task lol.

So, Joe has cancelled a rally in Cleveland due to the virus.

Pretty slick move - he gets to avoid a public speech, pretend that he is the anti virus candidate, and pressure Trump (who does well at rallies) to follow suit.

Biden's campaign is going to do everything thing they can to limit his exposure/gaffe opportunities.

He will have to resort to threatening to fight citizens via Skype I guess.

Both candidates cancelled their Ohio rallies.

That's one way to view it, and I get that the whole right wing talking point is to play up Biden's supposed senility.

But the other way to view it is that holding rallies where Covid-19 can be easily transmitted is irresponsible, and maybe we shouldn't encourage that. Maybe look at it from a public health perspective. Or is that political too?

Sorry. That makes too much sense... :loopy:

I've just got one thing to say..because it's pretty obvious Biden will be the nominee:

I will be voting blue..but don't blame Sanders supporters if Biden loses like Hillary did to Trump this November. ;)

I'll agree with you there. If Biden can't get Sanders to rally to him in the general, he can't blame anyone but himself.

Obviously there is an argument to be made. Don't think for a second though that his campaign is not gleefully taking this opportunity.

Over the course of Biden's last three rallies, how long has he spoken at each one?

Biden's mental issues are real and if he runs a normal campaign we are going to see, on a daily basis, tragic clips like we saw at the auto plant.

Biden was being shielded long before the virus was a consideration. You may have forgotten, but there were discussions of him disappearing from the campaign trail before Iowa.

He has issues and we know what they are, and they'll be a challenge to deal with for sure.. but it's become apparent that even with that he's a candidate that attracts broad support in important states.

I genuinely believe Trump is in real danger, and before this I assumed Trump's re-election was likely. Not so much as of now, and that's a bit independent of this coronavirus stuff.
