Trump supporters flocked to a campaign stop for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden last Thursday at Hightower High School in Fort Bend County, where a community leader took issue with the presence of weapons, military vehicles and what he deemed an offensive prop.

At Missouri City’s Hightower High School, hundreds of Trump supporters showed up with flags and military vehicles, according to videos posted by Eugene Howard, president of Brazoria County’s NAACP chapter.

Howard said some Trump supporters were armed and lobbed racial slurs. One Trump supporter brought a hearse and casket with a mannequin inside. The prop included a label: “Collecting Democrat votes one dead stiff at a time.”

The white mannequin appeared to be wearing a dark-colored wig. Howard was offended because he believed it depicted what he though was Kamala Harris or another Black woman.

We have one party telling their base that the other side is a Marxists Socialists' Anti-American Globalist Organization funded by pedophiles and 1%ers.

And we have one party telling their base that the other side is an Absolutists Authoritarian Capitalist Nationalist Organization funded by White supremacists.

Ya'll need to take a look in the mirror and smell the BS that's being shoveled - even if it's your preferred BS.

And let's not act like everyone doesn't have guns... because that's hilarious based on the gun violence numbers in the Big Cities (where Biden voters are).

I will not disagree that you have rhetoric on both sides exaggerating the behavior of the people on the other side. However, I disagree to the extent that Trump is, in fact, undermining democratic norms on a continuing basis. To deny that is to deny reality and has a mountain of evidence from his words and actions.

There is a qualitative difference between Joe Biden saying "Hey man... you ain't black if you don't vote for me" and Donald Trump praising caravans of his supporters road-stalking campaign buses of his opponents and ordering the Attorney General of the United States to imprison his political opponent. That is the stuff of dictators in banana republics.

I'm also not familiar with radical left actors organizing efforts to block voters from exercising their Constitutional right to vote as we are seeing repeatedly from Trump's supporters. Maybe you can provide me evidence to the contrary.

Your statements about both sides seems to come from good intentions. You believe that both sides are being duped and manipulated and it is your wish that people on both sides did not fall for it, correct?

If you feel that strongly about it you should make the argument and bring the evidence, if for no other reason do it for the lurkers who you know nothing about. There may be young people who have not put too much thought into politics yet or not enough to get pulled into the partisan trap. You should make a sincere attempt with real world examples so that those people may be able to recognize when their political leaders are trying to pit them against each other.
