This probably needs its own thread, otherwise it will be subsumed into the Voting Thread - which should remain focused on what will likely be a very busy coming days on voting issues and legal challenges.

People are shooting each other over campaign yard signs:

That.... "If we lose this election, life as you know it is over"!!!!!

Americans will always fight for their way of life, and for the long term safety of their families.... And the political idiots have successfully pitted each extreme side against one another - and have essentially told them - "this election is the fight for your way of life, your family's future, and the soul of this country".

What'd ya'll think was going to happen when that's the message?

To my way of thinking there’s only one side who is abandoning the founding principle of free and fair elections. There’s only one side actively trying to disenfranchise voters on a large scale.

You are saying they are equally bad, which just shows that you are biased against any hint of a problem from the radical left but are willing to excuse problems that the radical right is taking mainstream.

I'm still waiting for the example of supporters of Biden going out and trying to intimidate campaign workers and Trump voters at polls like what we are seeing here in Texas. I'm waiting for the examples of Biden voters shutting down interstates in the name of their candidate as we saw in Jersey. I'm waiting for the blatant cases of attempted voter suppression in the courts from the Biden campaign, like what we are seeing all around the country.

I know the "both sides" argument gives some people warm fuzzies, but it doesn't seem backed by the evidence in 2020.

Which, here, always seems to be - Discredit, Call Bias, Whatabout, and generally ignore anything that doesn't fit nicely into your preconceived "box of how I believe".

If you guys want to have any real discussions here... you are going about it wrong.

I've hardly seen a single American flag flying these days. But I've seen a hell of a lot of Trump flags and Thin Blue Line-bastageized American flags.

One side is not pledging their allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America any longer.

One side still is.

OK, then show the examples. I think that's all anyone would like to see. If it's both sides, then show that, don't just say it. I'm open to being wrong here, but as a voracious consumer of information from a wide variety of sources and a guy that tries to look at things evenly, I just can't find the examples. Whenever I ask anyone (not just you) they scream "all the same, sheep!" and stomp off. If it's all the same showing some examples should be fairly easy I think.

What good are specific examples if we can't acknowledge the high level core of the issue(s)? Both sides have been on a non-stop divide and conquer campaign filled with lies, labeling, fear and divisionary tactics in order to farm our votes...

If we can't at least acknowledge that.... then nothing I post will lead to any meaningful discussion... Just the same tired arguing.
