Special Counsel January 6 conspiracy case against Trump in DC (Update: Trial set for March 4, 2024) (1 Viewer)

Not crazy at all. Conspiracy theories and baseless attacks aren't allowed as factual testimony in federal cases. Judges limit what a defendant and defense team can present as a defense all the time in order to have a orderly court hearing based on providable facts.
How many things has the government told us were conspiracy theories the past few years that turned out to be true? Quite a few.

If it's baseless why is Smith scared of the jury hearing that information? Wouldn’t it be easy to show it's baseless in the trial?

It is a long standing practice that you don’t get to present false information in a trial.

Why do you want Trump to be able to lie in court?

SFL thinks it’s crazy that Trump’s legal team won’t be allowed to lie in federal court. Pretty much sums up where these people are at.
A prosecutor is allowed to determine what's true and false before the trial?

Are you saying it's a lie that there were undercover agents at January 6th?

I‘m saying it’s a lie that they were in any way responsible for the actions of MAGA that day. So it’s irrelevant to the case.

Trump‘s legal team would love to flood the zone with bullshirt. That way they can obfuscate the truth and get him off for what he did.

I don't even think "false" is important. "Relevant" is the key, in my opinion. It could be 100% true that this a politically motivated prosecution by Joe Biden. That would bear zero relevance on whether Trump is guilty or not.

Well, that too. But he also shouldn’t be able to claim all his crazy conspiracy theories that have been thoroughly debunked.

I don’t know. Do you? Are you saying they materially affected what MAGA did that day?
There were undercover informants at January 6th so it isn't a lie as you claimed initially. You think it's okay for Jack Smith to block the jury from hearing about it?

I'm not sure what all those undercover agents were involved with for January 6th because the Biden DOJ hasn't allowed any discussion of it even from members of Congress.

    All those? How many?

Are you saying they materially affected what MAGA did that day? (this is the 3rd time to ask this question).

Added: I just noticed you slickly changed the terminology from “informants” to “agents”. Do you think they are the same? This is dishonest framing.

    WTH are undercover informants anyway?

Actually I posted the wrong article and looked at the title when I was typing my post.

Why are do you keep asking me the same question when I already answered it?

There wasn’t even 1 undercover agent until you prove otherwise. Informants are not agents.

    How many is “all these”?
