    Awesome. So men are not part of the problem in getting abortions!
    It turns out that the vast majority are for selfish and convenience reason of the mother.
    I will gladly admit you have proven me wrong.
    That’s a judgement on your end and not reality.

    I am sorry, but this is just hyperbole and fear mongering. Why does the left always scream the sky is falling instead of making actual arguments?
    It’s not fear mongering, it’s the logical conclusion to making abortion illegal. The government hasn’t taken fetuses against the will of the woman yet, however, they absolutely have done both of the other options — imprisoning women who are pregnant to protect the fetus when they felt it has been endangered, and imprisoning women for non-medical abortions (self-induced miscarriages or miscarriages the government decided were self-induced).

    Because conservatives are always blowing off spittle when they talk. Down wind that feels like flecks of foaming saliva are falling from the sky. When a person is fully occupied complaining about being dowsed they're not in the mood to be making arguments.

    Not all that long ago a state charged a woman because she got into a fight early in a pregnancy, got shot by the other person in the fight, and miscarried. Charged were eventually dropped, but this is a clear indication of the mindset of men who want to ban abortion.

    This whole thing is about control and subjugation of women. It just couldn’t be more obvious. It is about changing the status of women back to their secondary role to men.

    Game On

    (CNN) - California Gov. Gavin Newsom expressed his "outrage" Saturday at a Supreme Court decision to allow the Texas six-week abortion ban to remain in effect and said he would use similar legal tactics to tackle gun control in his state.

    "I am outraged by yesterday's US Supreme Court decision allowing Texas's ban on most abortion services to remain in place, and largely endorsing Texas's scheme to insulate its law from the fundamental protections of Roe v. Wade," Newsom said in a statement.

    "But if states can now shield their laws from review by the federal courts that compare assault weapons to Swiss Army knives, then California will use that authority to protect people's lives, where Texas used it to put women in harm's way," the statement continued……..

    I'm gonna risk my identity here with this post so here we go. I grew up near the Coney family as a kid. The neighrborhood kids all used to hit on her younger sister, Megan when we were all coming up in the neighborhood. Her family is so beyond stuckup, its unreal. When we were kids, Amy told all the neighborhood kids that we went to public school and because of that, we couldn't talk to her. When our nerf football went onto their lawn, one of the Coney kids would tell us to get off their property when going to retrieve it. Their entire family is one of those stuck up families you see on one of those Hallmark specials, it is as if memes write themselves at this point. Her mother, Linda, is a Karen, they're the kinda family that would say Hi to you in the neighborhood then roll their eyes and talk crap behind your back as you walked away.

    The worst part of it is that they love playing the "We're a humble family" when they're anything but that.

    Interesting. Moses went up onto the Mountain and God gave him the law. That law, those commandments, are written in the bible in the forth book in Numbers.

    Detailed instructions are handed down through Moses first to tell Israel when a man may go to the priests to ask for an abortion for his wife, and then to tell Arron and his Sons the priests how to preform a ritual abortion upon the wife of a man who was obsessed that the child his wife was carrying wasn't his.

    The selfish and convenience reasons of the father, not the mother, to have an abortion performed on his wife is codified in the Old Testament. Abortion was legal, Pro-Choice, but the man, not the woman, got the choice.

    Here it is Numbers 5:11–31 This "bitter water" which is referred to was a medicinal slightly poisonous concoction which would cause women to miscarry. It was made from water and incense ash, ("the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle.") The dust on the floor was incense ash a byproduct of the burnt offerings a part of the normal daily routine of the temple.

    11 and the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
    12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: If any man's wife go aside, and act unfaithfully against him,
    13 and a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, she being defiled secretly, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken in the act;
    14 and the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled; or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled;
    15 then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is a meal-offering of jealousy, a meal-offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
    16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD.
    17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water.
    18 And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and let the hair of the woman's head go loose, and put the meal-offering of memorial in her hands, which is the meal-offering of jealousy; and the priest shall have in his hand the water of bitterness that causeth the curse.
    19 And the priest shall cause her to swear, and shall say unto the woman: 'If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness, being under thy husband, be thou free from this water of bitterness that causeth the curse;
    20 but if thou hast gone aside, being under thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee besides thy husband--
    21 then the priest shall cause the woman to swear with the oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman--the LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to fall away, and thy belly to swell;
    22 and this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, and make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to fall away'; and the woman shall say: 'Amen, Amen.'
    23 And the priest shall write these curses in a scroll, and he shall blot them out into the water of bitterness.
    24 And he shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that causeth the curse; and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her and become bitter.
    25 And the priest shall take the meal-offering of jealousy out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the meal-offering before the LORD, and bring it unto the altar.
    26 And the priest shall take a handful of the meal-offering, as the memorial-part thereof, and make it smoke upon the altar, and afterward shall make the woman drink the water.
    27 And when he hath made her drink the water, then it shall come to pass, if she be defiled, and have acted unfaithfully against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away; and the woman shall be a curse among her people.
    28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be cleared, and shall conceive seed.
    29 This is the law of jealousy, when a wife, being under her husband, goeth aside, and is defiled;
    30 or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon a man, and he be jealous over his wife; then shall he set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.
    31 And the man shall be clear from iniquity, and that woman shall bear her iniquity.

    I don't have a problem with women getting an abortion because of convenience.

    Your idea that most women have abortions because of convenience is messed up. It’s another symptom of the extremely low regard you have for women. I’m sure there are some women who are just generally bad people, and they may have an abortion out of selfish reasons. That just isn’t the case in the vast majority. Your views are skewed by your biases.
    Did you see the study @cuddlemonkey posted? It shows that clear as day.

    Maybe get the federal government out of the decision completely then? Although that will go against a big donor for the Dems. Planned Parenthood would/should lose all it's federal funding if any part of the organization does abortions. That seems fair to me.

    People act like PP main purpose is to perform abortions. I have no doudt you think that also.

    Main? Probably not on paper but if they want to keep funding, eliminate the abortion part of their business model and there would be no problem as far as funding.

    Why won't they do that, do you think?

    Because the right to get an abortion is constitutionally protected healthcare? Just maybe because they believe that women, like all humans, have bodily autonomy?

    Its getting harder to take this line of reasoning seriously.

    Oh,,, then I suppose my second post where I quoted Numbers saying "and the LORD spoke unto Moses saying..." was probably an excess of zeal on my part.

    Few do understand the Old Testament.

    That is getting awful close to transphobia.

    You are absolutely right. It's possible for a transwoman to conceive with a ciswoman or transman, assuming nothing has made it medically impossible (such as gender reassignment surgery).

    That said, the vast majority of pregnancies begin with cismen simply based on numbers and you are ignoring that to take try to get in a zinger instead.
