I guess when Trump said he could shoot someone on a street in broad daylight and he'd still have supporters has turned out to be the only truthful things he's said in the last 4 years.
Yeah why would anyone want to question the Democrats and the media's narrative on Russia right? The fact that people still cling to this Tom Clancy like conspiracy theory despite every single bombshell fizzling out after closer examination is hilarious.

This is just whataboutism. Just “look over here” and not at the cowardice and indifference displayed by Trump.
I guess it's easier to claim whataboutism to try to discredit someone's position rather than try to refuting their argument.

Do you think there is any legitimate reason why we should still be in Afghanistan after 19 years?

More whataboutism. This discussion isn't about why we have troops in Afghanistan. It's about specific allegations regarding US Intelligence having information that pertains to a foreign government offering bounties on American (and UK) troops.

Oh so in a thread about supposed bounties in Afghanistan we shouldn't discuss why we are still in Afghanistan after 19 years?

Yes. This is a thread about a specific thing that is independent of how long we have had troops in the country. Any attempt to change the topic in order to deflect is whataboutism.

You don’t refute a non-sequitur. You just point it out.

    Is anybody surprised?

WaPo is now saying the bounties resulted in deaths of US troops:

This story has nothing to do with whether or not we should be in Afghanistan. The story is whether there is a legitimate explanation for the Trump admin’s inaction here. The explanations offered thus far are not satisfactory.

This type of story has been a long time coming for anyone who’s been willing to apply even an ounce of scrutiny to this administration’s foreign policy. I am not surprised the visceral reaction from Trump defenders is to deny / deflect, yet I still find the response extremely disheartening and disappointing.

Why would anyone trust the CIA after their many intelligence failures and their massive propaganda operations?
Why would anyone trust Trump who has lied over 18,000 times since taking office? Why would anyone trust anyone in the trump adminstration? I'll damn sure trust the career members of CIA, the FBI and even the NSA before I would trust anyone in the trump administration.
Trump is a habitual liar, but we aren't basing Congressional investigations and Special prosecutors on Trump's lies.
No, we're just basing domestic and foreign policy as well as economic and health policy on Trump lies.

    Sooooo....
