There’s a lot of doubt that Kevin McCarthy will be able to get enough votes to become Speaker. It certainly won’t happen on the first ballot. Already Boboert and MTG are publicly at odds over it.

Maybe this is worth it’s own thread to watch. One person mentioned is Scalise.

If enough Dems leave McCarthy would win, I think.

MTG For SoH!!! They want to burn it all down??? Let'em.

The only way to fix stupid is for them to witness their complete failure and then MAYBE the clowns that elected these bigger clowns to office will see that having competent statesmen in office is vital to the American Dream. As it stands now, these Republican arse-hats will destroy this nation within the next 12 months. There will be government shut-downs and we will default under their lack of governance, but hey, at least we will know the differenced between man and woman.

We should just make the Speaker a position elected to a 4 year term, every other mid term election cycle, and make it so the speaker cannot be a member of the house.

If the Republicans are hoping that the Dems are going to throw them a bone on this vote, they might want to stop bashing them during every nomination speech.

Now Trump has posted saying McCarthy should give up and it's time to support Byron.

He is looking more pathetic today than he did on the day he released his NFT.

Yep, like this idiot just did with her insult in nominating McCarthy again. Then she wants to complain about the House not being in order.

Impossible, House seats are a two year term. The Speaker position should be an elected official because that position in second in the line of succession.
