Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

    Can’t stop criming, lol

MADISON, Wis. — A bipartisan ethics panel in Wisconsin has recommended felony charges against one of Donald Trump’s fundraising arms in relation to an alleged scheme that it says was meant to circumvent campaign finance laws to take out a powerful GOP lawmaker who has turned against Trump.

The prosecution referrals became public Friday and add to the legal troubles of the former president, who is already facing 91 charges in four cases in other jurisdictions.

The Wisconsin Ethics Commission this week found probable cause that Trump’s Save America committee, a state lawmaker and multiple local Republican officials committed felonies and recommended six district attorneys investigate and prosecute them, according to records released Friday.

The commission’s investigation centers on the 2022 primary race between Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, one of the most influential Republicans in Wisconsin, and Adam Steen, a political newcomer who embraced Trump.

Individuals and most political entities can give a maximum of $1,000 each to candidates for the Wisconsin Assembly under state law, but arms of political parties can give them unlimited amounts. The commission alleges Steen, Steen’s campaign and three county Republican parties arranged to sidestep campaign finance laws by having donors give money to one of the county parties, which would then steer it to Steen’s campaign or his vendors, according to the records released Friday.

Save America donated $15,000 to the county parties in August 2022 — $5,000 each to the Republican parties of Chippewa, Florence and Langlade counties. They are the only donations Save America made to county parties in 2021 and 2022, campaign finance records show.

Neither the Trump campaign nor Steen responded to requests for comment Friday. The website WisPolitics first reported on the referrals.

The ethics commission made its referral against Save America and its agents but did not identify anyone with Save America by name. It alleged those involved in the efforts committed felonies that can result in penalties of up to 3½ years in prison and fines of $10,000. Additional penalties could be in play if prosecutors pursue conspiracy charges.
In addition to Save America, the commission referred for prosecution Steen’s campaign, the three county parties and nine individuals, including county party officials and donors.

Vos has had a tumultuous relationship with Trump for years, especially since the former president baselessly alleged the 2020 election in Wisconsin was rigged against him.
Hoping to appease Trump and his supporters, Vos hired a former state Supreme Court justice to conduct a review of the election, which centered on conspiracy theories and false claims that the legislature could revoke the state’s electoral votes for Joe Biden...........

Can anyone figure out what he’s babbling about? Honestly, people can’t get through or are they pouring over? He makes no sense, yet the media doesn’t show this. Why?

    Lol
He first says people are “pouring over”, then describes a hostile terrain and said nobody is getting through and then immediately says people are pouring over again. He’s practically incoherent.

his followers never notice makes you wonder doesn't it?

Donald Trump, who was sued by the Justice Department in 1973 for discriminating against Black tenants, told a group of Black conservative voters that "a lot of people" have said his four indictments are the reason that "Black people like me." In the same breath, Trump painted himself as a victim of discrimination.

Addressing the Black Conservative Federation Honors Gala in Columbia, South Carolina, on Friday evening, Trump boasted about the pardons he gave out while in office, and continued to falsely lament that the 91 charges against him were all part of a conspiracy to keep him out of the White House.

"I got indicted for nothing - for something that is nothing. They were doing it because it's election interference - and then I got indicted a second time, and a third time, and a fourth time," he said during Friday's event. "And a lot of people said that that's why the Black people like me, because they've been hurt so badly and discriminated against. And they actually viewed me as I'm being discriminated against. It's been pretty amazing. Possibly - maybe there's something there."

Trump - whose long history of racism includes his calling for the execution of five Black and brown kids known as the Central Park Five in 1989 (who were proven innocent 27 years later), dismissal of Black men dying at the hands of police, and preaching white supremacy - went on to mention Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

"We share the dream of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. He was great. What a speech," he continued, before ranting: "Every time the radical left Democrats, Marxists, communists and fascists indict me, I consider it a great, great badge of honor. Because I'm being indicted for you, the American people. I'm being indicted for you, the Black population. I'm being indicted for a lot of different groups by sick people."

The former president also made a cringe attempt at humor, declaring earlier in his speech that the "lights are so bright in my eyes I can't see people … I can only see the Black ones. I can't see any white ones. That's how far I've come. That's a long way isn't it?"

Trump, whose patronizing, white-savior talk is well documented, later claimed that the Black community had embraced his mugshot, bragging that "they do shirts, and they sell them for $19 apiece. It's pretty amazing. Millions of these things have been sold."............

    Yep, nice and normal

(Shame is, it is normal from him)
    ========================

Donald Trump styled himself as a “proud political dissident” and promised “judgment day” for political opponents in an address that offered a chilling vision of a democracy in imminent peril.

In classic carnival barker form, the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination accused Joe Biden of weaponising the government against him with “Stalinist show trials”. He pledged to crack down on border security and deliver the biggest deportation in US history if he wins the 5 November election.

“For hard-working Americans, November 5th will be our new liberation day,” Trump told a packed ballroom at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) at National Harbor in Maryland. “But for the liars and cheaters and fraudsters and censors and imposters who have commandeered our government, it will be their judgment day!”

He added: “Your victory will be our ultimate vindication, your liberty will be our ultimate reward and the unprecedented success of the United States of America will be my ultimate and absolute revenge.”……

As usual, Trump entered to Lee Greenwood’s God Bless the USA, hugged an American flag and painted an impossibly grim picture of an America overrun by bloodshed, chaos and violent crime. “If Crooked Joe Biden and his thugs win in 2024, the worst is yet to come,” he said. “A country that will go and sink to levels that are unimaginable.

“These are the stakes of this election. Our country is being destroyed, and the only thing standing between you and its obliteration is me.”……

Trump argued without evidence: “The Stalinist show trials being carried out at Joe Biden’s orders set fire not only to our system of government but to hundreds of years of western legal tradition.

“They’ve replaced law, precedent and due process with a rabid mob of radical left Democrat partisans masquerading as judges and juries and prosecutors.”

Trump also spent time on his signature issue: he said his “first and most urgent action” as president would be the “sealing of the border, stopping the invasion ... send Joe Biden’s illegal aliens back home”.

The ex-president, who has spent years demonising immigrants, said: “They’re coming from Asia, they’re coming from the Middle East, coming from all over the world, coming from Africa, and we’re not going to stand for it ... They’re destroying our country.”

He promised to carry out the biggest deportation in American history. “It’s not a nice thing to say and I hate to say it and those clowns in the media will say: ‘Oh, he’s so mean.’ No, they’re killing our people. They’re killing our country. We have no choice.”

He added: “We have languages coming into our country … they have languages that nobody in this country has ever heard of. It’s a horrible thing.”

Jeff Clark has a RICO charge in GA. I’m sure he’s looking forward to doing anything except go to prison. He should have stayed in his lane, but he got conned by Trump and ruined his life. He is also an unindicted co-conspirator in the Jack Smith federal case against Trump.

    That was well stated.
