Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

Of course, Trump is going on about this. lets just annouce it so everyone forking knows.

He’s not paying for that with his own money, he just wants you to think that he is. Second, what a forking clown he is. How does anyone take this idiot seriously?

Developers don’t usually build much with their own money. The bigger question for me is do we need a ballroom in the WH? Probably not. Lastly, that is an historic house. I would hope this addition doesn’t take away from that.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the new ballroom ends up decked out in gold-plated everything — walls, chandeliers, maybe even the doorknobs. Trump just got back from Saudi Arabia and probably thought, “I need a golden room too!” Naturally, it’ll be funded by taxpayers — because there’s always money for his ego, just never for feeding hungry kids or taking care of the veterans.

What I meant was that he implies he is paying for it, but I’m sure the taxpayer is going to foot the bill. He hasn’t been a developer for a long, long time. Not really. He just licenses his name and lets real developers do the rest.

So does POTUS apply for development/construction loan at the local Chase Bank or simply use taxpayer funds?

I bet you can guess the answer.

A ballroom. That will also be available for weddings, meetings and other gatherings, if you can afford the price tag.

Bottomline, it is bad optics at a time when you are doing RIF to save money to then turnaround and spend money on a gold trimmed ballroom.

And he’d do that at the White House. I don’t know for sure but I think Congress controls federal buildings. Even, so it’s nothing but jabber.

This is completely surreal. As someone on Blue Sky said - “we’re 100% sure this is for a parade next week and not a coup? yes?”

Good question. At the very best this is Waste, Fraud and Abuse in its distilled essence.

Optics are a joke to Trump. Trump has been doing things that are bad optics ever since he announced for president. His minions don’t care how corrupt he is. He could probably announce that he is the devil and they still wouldn’t care.

He dodged service, and has disrespected servicemen repeatedly, yet he still has a lot of support among the military. It is confounding and pathetic.

Perhaps but optics are important to Congressmen and women in swing states and districts. I agree Trump doesn’t care much about them at times and yet he is hypersensitive at other times to personal criticism.
