    ABC's Amy Robach

Yet another female reporter from yet another network has accidently joined MSNBC's Rachel Maddow to call out her own company for years of spiking stories about Jeffery Epstein providing teenage sex partners for rich and powerful men.

ABC News Amy Robach was caught in an open mic video moment which has been published by Project Veratis' James O'Keefe, a self-proclaimed "guerrilla journalist" whose past efforts have drawn heavy criticism.

“I’ve had the story for three years… we would not put it on the air,” Robach said on the hot mic. “It was unbelievable what we had, Clinton, we had everything.”

Fox News contacted Robach, and she confirmed the video was genuine.

“As a journalist, as the Epstein story continued to unfold last summer, I was caught in a private moment of frustration. I was upset that an important interview I had conducted with [Epstein accuser] Virginia Roberts didn’t air because we could not obtain sufficient corroborating evidence to meet ABC’s editorial standards about her allegations,” Robach said in a statement provided to Fox News

“We would not put it on the air. Um, first of all, I was told, who’s Jeffrey Epstein? No one knows who that is. This is a stupid story," Robach said on the video recording. "Then, the Palace found out that we had her whole allegations about Prince Andrew and threatened us a million different ways. We were so afraid we wouldn’t be able to interview Kate and Will that we, that also quashed the story.”

“I tried for three years to get it on to no avail. And now it’s all coming out and it’s like these new revelations and I freaking had all of it,” Robach said. “I’m so pissed right now.”

Since Robach chose to provide a statement to Fox News, it's a sole source, not a news provider of choice for this piece.

I wouldn't bank on it. Newsweek's misreporting (Fake Koran flushing at Gitmo, etc) got so bad that it completely lost credibility. After merging and re-branding, we now call it the Daily Beast.

Do you see much improvement? I don't.

One sign that ABC is not yet ready to improve is the way they have handled the firefight video fiasco. They published a blurb on Twitter, but to the best of my knowledge they have not mentioned it on the nationally broadcast shows that actually aired the misinformation.

That doesn't sound like an organization that is ready to repent and sin no more.

And FOX is showing no signs of changing while OAN and Breitbart are trying to out FOX FOX.

That is an article that showed up on the news page about an half-hour ago that I thought was relevant. I haven't read anything but the title, yet.

I just wanted to mention in response to a couple of posts on this thread... Just because a person is a mod on SR doesn't necessarily mean that the person is a mod here. Some are. Some are not.

Again, there won't be much moderating going on until the official launch. Mostly it has been me doing the actual moderating, and I haven't hit on everything reported. I just don't have the time. In the meantime the expectation is that everyone will self-moderate. That is, if they still wish to be able to participate on this board once we launch. When we do go to launch, I will go through every thread on this board and clean them up while taking notes.

The site progress? Pretty much done! It's now about getting all of the rules and nuance' ironed out, as well as deciding if I want to add a board for those that did not choose to be affiliated (Conservative/Moderate/Liberal). One would think that this would be that board. Then again, those that do not declare, consider themselves to be too good for the Mud Pit but cannot resist making comments or anything else that would cause a discussion to go downhill would need a place to go.

That seems like a different discussion.
Which begs the question, what is this discussion all about??? Is about Robach's Epstein story or is it about how the MSM sux???

I want to know what she has that no one else does, especially the Clinton claim seeing how all we know about him is that he has been on Epstein's plane.

Pretty much. ABC in this case sucks. and t's pretty damn glaring in this instance.

Hopefully the embarrassments the networks have suffered recently will contribute to them reevaluating the way they are doing business.

I didn't intend to go off topic as my comment was a continuation of the discussion quoted above.

I was agreeing with the two of you that no network or news outlet seems very concerned about the way they are doing business as long as their business is good.

I am sorry, I totally misread that. I thought you were complimenting OAN and Brietbart.

I mean what's she gonna say? If she admits to having bombshell info that's provable, she's probably a dead woman. No one on the earth I don't think really believe that Epstein killed himself. And I'm sure she doesn't want to risk suicide either.

And I'm not bothered by the source. If the National Enquirer can break a true story from time to time, then I don't know why Project Veritas can't stumble onto something of value on occasion too.
Did you see the last project Veritas whistle blower thread. It was a hoot

This is the real crux of the issue. I agree.

Question is: Is it just as bad as fake news when a network clearly avoids a story like this?
Jimeverett made this point in the fake news thread. The mere choosing of which stories to run shows a certain bias. In this circumstance power. So it is very obvious to me that these “news outlets” only care about the mighty $$$$. All of them, not just FOX

It wasn’t MSNBC. It was NBC who Maddow called out.
Even worse imo. Msnbc has little credibility. As one of the big three, NBC shows they are no different than the rest. All about the power and influence.

Just correcting an obvious error, not a comment on what’s better or worse.

Im with you. To me this is not a partisan issue. Just like congress, all of the networks are out for power and influence. I don’t trust the lot of them (cnn, fox, nbc, abc, cbs etc) just like I don’t trust congress (Republicans, Democrats or libertarians).

Altruism goes out the door when power comes a knocking.
