Looks like the fight is on with Israeli soldiers and civilians amongst the dead already. Question becomes, how long before we get dragged into this?

I don't know that that really changes anything I said. Are you saying all Palestinians as culpable as active members of Hamas for the terrorist attack and deserve to pay a heavy price for it?

I said those Palestinian "that have nothing to do with Hamas". I'm obviously making a distinction between those that actively support Hamas and those that don't. Maybe you know better than I do, but I'm assuming that Hamas doesn't enjoy 100% support of the Palestinian people. Hamas only controls Gaza, but it seems very likely that all Palestinians will suffer from the results of this response.

It was a terrorist attack, and yes it was barbaric. That's independent of whether or not Israel is functioning as an apartheid state with regard to Palestinians Two things can be true at the same time. Regardless, I would expect any country, Israel included to respond to such and attack. But my fear is that their response will lead to genocide against Palestinians. That would be bad for both Israel and the world. My hope would be that they have some restraint and try to stick to military/terrorist targets as much as possible, but I think that's unlikely for Israel with the government they have in place. I also acknowledge that's not easily done in an area so packed with people and in situation where Hamas will use civilian assets for cover. I guess all I'm saying is that this whole situation is forked.

Without question. It was forked last week before this attack, now it's even more forked.

Note: I haven't commented on what Israel MAY do, should do, or will do. I am saying this kind of attack can not stand and must be condemned worldwide.

While I was in Vietnam I heard stories about a unit within a light infantry brigade that had murdered 100s of civilians. It turned out to be true. My Lai. It was a savage, barbaric, slaughter, which had zero to do with the VC, NVA, communism, Siagon, or anything else. The participants should have been jailed for life. Particularly Lt. Calley. Nixon essentially let him walk. That made me sick.

These kinds of things have to be called out for what they are.

I agree. He seems to be trying to setup justification for the terrorist actions that Bibi is about to have the IDF commit against millions of innocent Palestinians of which millions are children. For too long now, the ADL's primary missions seems to be to keep people from criticizing human rights violations against non-terrorist Palestinians committed by the Israel government and military.

Currently, the Israeli government is at least every bit as bad toward all Palestinians as the apartheid government of South Africa was toward non-white South Africans. Palestinian terrorists and the current Israeli regime need to leave the damn planet and let the other Palestinians and Israelis work things out.
