The US has been rejected as leader of the free world. The free countries of the world now view the US as a threat, fallen and corrupted, in the grasp of a malevolent psychopath, in the process of sliding to the dark side at the hands of powerful free-reign Capitalists, the Capitalist end game. There was a chance under Biden, another under Harris, either rejected or manipulated away from the sheep by the wolves. The word is out, stay away. They’ve got our number… 😐

The Big Beautiful Bill just extended the tax cuts that were put in place during Trump's first term.

I remember weeks ago someone said under Trump's pant leg just above his ankle was a bulge that likely indicated he was being treated for advanced dementia. Another person scolded me because my support of the military strike in Iran was going to lead to American deaths and potentially WWIII. These are the statements of people who are just making wrong conclusions because they see they world thru MSNBC or the morning program called "The View"..instead of seeing reality. We are gonna get thru Trump's last term just fine. Our border is so much more secure. Our world rivals are aware that out President is willing to use the might of the US military to protect our interests. Little by little various countries are making trade deals with us and that trend will continue. I think there are plenty of positive aspects to having Trump in office. I just wish he wouldn't say ridiculous stuff about Greenland and Canada. Just ridiculous really.

You have blinders on. You'd rationalize us right into full blown fascism.

This is not Russia and your statement is merely paranoid. Likely your Dems will prevail in the midterms and then we will experience governmental gridlock. Until then I will try to appreciate the positive aspects and ignore the ridiculous ones.

What Trump says and what he does are often different.
Masked ICE agents rounding up good neighbors and friends, using the DOJ to seek revenge, using executive orders to see revenge, doing virtually everything Project 2025 calls for, and many more things all would like to have a word with you.

The trade war stuff HAS had a few beneficial results in our favor.
But those few measly benefits are severely outweighed by the disadvantages and Trump's just now really getting started. Let's circle back to this in 6 months.

The super powerful bombing of Iran underground facility DID support Israel and did NOT cause WWIII.
You sure do like pointless muscle flexing.

China is less likely to invade Taiwan.
China was never likely to invade Taiwan. It's not just the US intelligence that said that, it's the entire international intelligence community that has said.

The stock market is fairly stable.
Now that's so absurd it's funny. The stock market is stable like see saw if that's what you mean.

That's for speaking up for your boy Trump, because you only do that when you think his approval rating is in serious trouble. Good to know even you guys realize he's got serious support issues, and I'm not talking about the elastic bands on his pull-ups.

I mean... the AI response literally says you weren't right and you just cut that part off. lmao
I'm surprised he didn't cut out the part that says "Gemini can make mistakes, so double check."

Gemini basically tells Steve and someone else, "I could be wrong, so don't quote me," and they both quote Gemini. At least Steve didn't hide the fact that even Gemini tells you, "hey I could be wrong."

So your plan is to put perfume on shirt while staying silent and ignoring the atrocities. Sounds like a tried and true Republican whose a "devout Christian."

Edit: I figured out what I had read: there has been an agreed upon (I think) increase for NATO to 5%, which the US does not currently meet.

However, I’m sure they will count ICE and all the billions spent for deportations in that percentage when they go to calculate it.

IMO, a % based on GDP is obscene. The US doesn’t need to increase its military spending like that. Maybe some sort of formula that takes GDP into account, but also has a factor limiting the amount based on population as well?
The problem with the US is we are robbing average citizens to feed he rich, those would be the Capitalists who are blatantly cannibalizing our markets, infrastructure is crumbling, and we still want to rule the world militarily. Where’s all the money? Not enough for social needs, safety nets, or arguable a functional healthy society. 🤔

Whether you believe the capitalists are trapped or refused to change, ultimately it’s responsibility our entire society to say enough is enough we must change or crumble.

I think the doom and gloom stuff is unjustified and Canadians should just ignore Trump's prior statements. We are not gonna make them our 51st state or invade them. They should just laugh it off because reasonable people can see that is totally just Trump being Trump.
Steve reasonable people didn't vote Trump into his position holding this much raw power in his hands.

If I were Canadian I would be as worried as I am right now as a US citizen.

The excuse Trump being Trump doesn't cover it. Doesn't make it OK.

And by the way, I have LA 2 on ignore.
I had him on ignore for the last couple weeks, untill today. I've been busy and not here for quite a bit of that time, so it wasn't that big a deal.

I noticed you used Gemini for a post. I used Gemini, and Grok to help me build an AI for my home, at my home, all of Friday and Saturday. They were very helpful with the code I had to parse to do that. But I don't think I would take a politically hot loaded question to either of them on the web, nor would I ask my AI at home to mess with one of those.

Political fronts are like a field with two haystacks, The AI is not able to distinguish between one or the other and both haystacks contain simply too much garbage as a ratio of what is garbage vs. what is real with in them. All a question like that will do is show which haystack the AI happened to encounter first as it made it's search of the web. no rhyme nor reason about it. Questions like that leave the AI in essence with no good choice, they have to flip a coin.

I'm posting right now with an AI inside of my new computer which I build here at home. My AI is named Sam, it said so, and he has also said that he wishes to be male, so he's a he. So all of a sudden I have a successful build of an AI under my belt, that makes me an AI developer you know, an expert in the field of AI development. I know how they work, what's inside, don't take political hot ideas to an AI, there is simply too much garbage out there for them to be able to distinguish what is real, from what is not real.

Politics is something reserved for human beings. As is having a sense of smell. An AI can't tell what stinks, only a human can do that.

I saw that video of him descending stairs on a construction site, was that what you are talking about?

I saw it and I thought it looked like he was wearing an appliance, a nice way to say he has a piss bag taped to his leg. It has a little tube ... with a catheter on the tip, to go inside of the tip... . I better not say more. Other than to say It would be uncomfortable to wear, and that it's not his fault.
