    The best hope for America is that those rural bigots are becoming a smaller proportion of the population, so hopefully the next Trump won't be able to win. The next generation is much less bigoted, and many more of them will vote in 2024.

    It will be very close, but all that is left are are mail-in ballots, and almost all of the votes are from urban areas. Biden could win about 90% of those ballots. I thought Georgia was gone last night, but now I think the winner will win by under 10k votes, and that could be Biden. If Georgia goes Democratic, Democrats can't lose.

    I literally just had this convo w my friend on way into work.

    We are a generation away from minimizing that bigoted white vote.

    I think though this is the attitude those rural white voters are hearing - Dems/the left/liberals/etc... hate them and the only way for them to survive is to find a savior like Trump.
     
    There is a good chance that we will have multiple states that Joe takes by a very narrow lead and we have recounts those states. There could be fights over what is a valid signature on mail-in ballots. Democrats need to start talking about ballots at the USPS needing to be counted.

    1M in Penn. Biden is pulling 75% of those MIV and most are outstanding in blue counties. The 3-day mail in rule for Penn makes it a better than 50% chance Penn goes Biden.

    Assuage them and you continue to have this divide.

    I wont walk on egg shells to accommodate their bigotry and hate. I dont "hate" those folks- its all they have ever known.

    I feel for them because they live in a vacuum of their own self-indignation. I would love for them to wake one day and say that they have had enough of the bigotry and begin to come more middle.

    savior is the exact right word

    they have been fed paranoia for a long time. They perceive an existential threat. They see enemies everywhere. In shadows. Even in allies.

    and they have been taught, conditioned that they cannot overcome this threat alone. They need legislative and political power and agency to keep the hordes at bay. Be they socialist. Or SJW. Or LGBTQ wanting to get in your bathroom. Or atheists wanting to take Christmas and church away. Or etc.

    so many enemies. And the rhetoric is so dangerous. It’s un American and prevents growth in and of the party.

    It’s so stupid. How can you defend inclusion as part of your platform when so much of your actual practice and rhetoric is predicated on exclusion?

    it’s strangling the nation
