Naw, I think it will take a lot longer. Not just policy, the environment, executive orders etc, but the rampant explosion of nationalist, far right, Q-people, all of that bullshirt that trump stirred up. Theres an argument that it was there all along, but I feel like trump was like lighter-fluid to a smouldering fire
The difference with right-wing white supremacy is that Trump was not a cause, but a symptom. It's been there all along and Trump just gave them reason to come out from under their rocks. The policy stuff can be reversed in short order.

20 years to get back to where we were before is my prediction.

Glad to see there is enough data out there to make the call. Glad the AP, Fox, CNN, etc all eventually made the call.

Let's remember, it's not official until each State Certifies their elections. That will either be in the next week or month. It's done, but not done.

    The news doesn't elect anyone.

The real work is to stop the spread of misinformation. The bunk claims of more voters than what was eligible, poll watching not there or no access (vs wanting better access), late ballots, etc. Let's make the truth our ally, whatever it may be. Remember official sources of information, actual court orders, and other verifiable pieces of information. I fully expect a full court press of disinformation to try to keep shaking institutional confidence. I've already seen a bit of it, and as usual, it resonates with us, because many have a natural inclination to distrust government.

Anyway, congratulations to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Our first ever Female VP.

Let's keep the conversation somewhat elevated please. Joy or disappointment is expected. Let's keep it classy.
