There has been an interest in discussing the role of drag queens in the public arena, and what is appropriate with children. This specifically was an area of concern:

So, are there dangers present in transgenders reading stories to children. If so, what are they? What is government's role in this? Is it a local or federal issue?

A drag show? No, I am 100% against the sexual objectification of children.

What would you call a performance that featured various drag performers lip syncing to non-sexual songs and dancing in a non-sexual manner while wearing clothes no less immodest than you see walking up and down the street on any given day? Is that a drag show?

You're against Monty Python? What in the world is sexually objectifying about this drag show?

A few months ago? The drummer from a cover band I was in when I lived in New Orleans is now well-known in the New Orleans drag scene, and I have attended a couple of his shows. How about you?
This past weekend at a bar here in town. A family member was in town for this particular show, he wasn't in it but had some friends that were in it.

Who said I am against drag shows? I am against children being in a drag show.

To you V chip, is there a difference between a performance of Shakespeare where actors play the female roles, or Monty Python, like you listed above and a drag show or are they pretty much one in the same?

So if there was a child in that photo, you would object?

Not sure what type of drag shows you attended, but besides some innuendo, the ones I've been to are just about men dressing as women acting like divas and a lot of singing and not very good dancing. Nothing sexual any more than you would see in tame music videos (and not nearly as sexual as a LOT of music videos).

I am on my tablet so reply copy paste and stiff is a chore. Plus I am at work. Takes forever to post.

V chip. I never meant this thread as a discussion about drag queens or gay people as the op indicates, nor should the Government be involved. My intention was about the fact of society supporting something that the majority most likely finds inappropriate. And using storybooks and teddy bears to apeel to the kids in a sense or normality... In something less than 5% of the world is involved in...Funny how the majority on this thread support this when in the real world I would wager the majority doesnt.

Incumbent. I read you post. I agree we have other and greater issues facing our kids. Parents being alcoholics or drug user. Single family homes, divorce. So many other things.

You wouldnt believe it but as a strip club dj I have quite a few friends who are criminal lawyers and a few friends that are cops. One of my cop friends is us marshall formerly county sheriff and another is a Criminal Investigator.
So the other day I see one of my criminal lawyer friends in the bar and I ask how business has been. "Great." He says, "With all these kids running around with guns, I am swamped." As we talked more he went on to say the number of kids involved in gang activity and carrying guns is really getting out of hand.
My Criminal Investigator friend is assigned to Okc'S gang task force and he says the exact same thing.
So I get what you are saying. Perhaps that deserves it's own thread...

Not much more can be said on this topic until the next new thing pops up. And most likely a gay or drag queen cartoon show for children... Oh wait.. I think there is a carton show starring drag kids. Seems I recall one of them say: Magic glitter powe do your stuff." Or somesuch.

    Here it is...

When you go to an ultra Christian movie review site you get articles like that

But do a little research and you will find that it is a brazilian ADULT comedy which ran all of ONE day in 2018.....

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Drags

Netflix has stated that the series is only meant for adult audiences, subsequently releasing a red-band trailer with a TV-MA rating displayed throughout. Also, another video was released, where Champagne, one of the series' characters, warns viewers that even though the series is animated, it contains adult content and is only for people over the age of 16

They don't like the star wars movies either because "the force" seduce young people away from faith and then there is this

AGENDA: GRINDING AMERICA DOWN is the most powerful exposé of the communist, socialist, progressive attempt to take over America produced so far. ... The documentary starts with a quote from Joseph Stalin, “America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold

No matter what site i got it from... we now have a cartoon show about young children dressing in drag aimed at young children... that was my point, not what website it came from. As i stated i am on a Peice of work tablet at work.

But the question begs, is a cartoon show about young kids in drag acceptable for all young children?

There is a 90 second trailer linked in that article. Can you please watch it and tell me what, other than the actual drag, you find to be objectionable?

Again.. What are we afraid that will happen here as far as the kids watching are concerned? I mean the worst for some people is that a few kids will become drag queens, but the likely outcome is that they might be a little more accepting of something deeply stigmatized - - men dressing in traditionally female getup etc. There is a difference between shows that normalize different types of people and those that seek to imtroduce violence or some other unhealthy medium into the conversation.

Joe, I’m only asking in the interest of saving both of us time, and you have the freedom to your opinions, but do you think it’s just not right for little boys to wear makeup and girl’s clothing? I think that’s actually pretty important to establish because if that’s the case, then this discussion is never getting anywhere since it’s not really about cartoons, and photo shoots, and nightclubs. When you talk about indoctrination and forced lifestyles, it’s really hard to imagine it’s any more complicated than that.

It says it's not intended for kids.

Why do you keep repeating that it is and quoting awful sources?

It's not going to win your argument or help your point.
