Figured we should start a separate thread on the arrests and those involved in the storming of the Capitol. I know it has been talked about in the other thread a lot, but for the ones who just want to follow the ones arrested and/or charged, this will be an easier way to see updates on the investigations.

Link below is everyone who has been arrested. But we know there will be more.

The website seems to be updated with new information daily.

The ones who are getting the most air time:

Not sure what the correlation is between planning an insurrection and planning for a Zombie out break. Help me out on that one.

Did or did they not talk about planning an insurrection?
Did or did they not attempt to enact that plan?
Do you honestly think he/she will admit he/she was wrong? The goalpost will just keep being moved.

First it was "if it was insurrection how come no one has been charged?"
Now its "just because they talked about planning it, doesn't mean they really planned it"..

lol... I love feeding trolls. they will eat anything....

I have to admit, y'all's patience for this pathetic troll is the stuff of legend. Gandhi himself would be proud.

Same here, classic troll.....better dressed than some I suppose....

It like all those poor guys who got caught up in the moment and joined ISIS.

I'm loathe to defend anything related to the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol. But no, it's not like that at all. Bystanders don't join ISIS, and didn't join whatever groups of idiots who were attacking the Capitol. There were more than a few people who thought they were just going to your run or the mill Trump rally and had no idea that an insurrection was being planned. I had a friend who attended the rally, and walked to the Capitol grounds then left before the craziness started. He was pretty shocked when he later learned that the crowd had broken into the Capitol.

I am talking about the people who went inside the capital. To say that they just got swept up in the frenzy is not an acceptable excuse.

Well, yeah, anyone who actually stepped inside the Capitol should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It's seditious. They had no business being there.

Not an excuse.. but it DOES happen.

Very true, and it appears to be happening.

My first comment was aimed at the hysteria at which the media - and many members of Congress - shouted 'insurrection' and 'coup'. It was accurate, but it was the hysterical manner that got to me. Hence my comments about the subsequent charges, and the lack of 'insurrection' charges. (except for the one recent citation against the Proud Boys gang ? ).

And you have to agree... just because people blow of steam on facebook doesn't NECESSARILY mean they intended action. We shall see what the jury says about this one ?

    Except when they do.
Talk about, then attempt intended action. thats not a blow of steam.
If i message my friends that i'm gonna kill my wife on a certain day a certain way, then i attempt to kill her that day the way i said, my 'it was an accident' defense isn't gonna go very far.

I do wonder how people at the Capitol feel about Trump not only not doing anything on the 6th (especially after telling them 'I'll be right there with you" then he drove home) but he's been pretty silent on all the arrests in the aftermath

No more "I love You's or You're very specials"

No public pleas for leniency, or dismissing the charges outright

As federal prosecutors appear to continue to home in on Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes for his potential role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, court documents describe further communications between Rhodes and members of the militia group during and after the attack, including an alleged message from Rhodes that suggests he was expecting President Donald Trump to take action during the attack.

According to the government’s recent court filings, the call during the riot came after Rhodes, in previously revealed communications in which he was identified as "Person One," used a Signal group chat titled "DC OP: Jan 6 21," to share with other members a photograph of the Capitol with a caption that read "South side of US Capitol. Patriots pounding on doors."

Soon after, as Oath Keepers and others were inside the Capitol, Rhodes posted a photo showing people at the Capitol and wrote, "Trump better do his damn duty."

Other new messages included in the court filing show Rhodes at 5:50 p.m. asking leaders to "check to be sure you have all your team members. If anyone is missing, post here," and later in the evening sending a long message that served as a rallying cry, comparing the events of Jan. 6 to the Boston Tea Party in 1773.

"We have one FINAL chance to get Trump to do his job and his duty," Rhodes wrote according to prosecutors. "Patriots entering their own Capitol to send a message to the traitors is NOTHING compared to what's coming if Trump doesn't take decisive action right now."

Rhodes went on to say that it was most important for Trump to see the Capitol riot, adding, "I hope he got the message."

The following morning, on Jan. 7, Oath Keeper Joshua James allegedly messaged the group: "Trump conceded…its over. We lose."..........

I hadn't heard that. thanks for posting

    He being ridiculous as always

They were told that Mike Pence could keep Trump in office if he choose to

They built a Gallows on the front lawn - broke into the Capitol all the while yelling, 'Where's Mike Pence!?"

Trump - Threat? What threat? There was zero threat. They were just playing around

first it was "no-one is being charged for insurrection!", now its, "lets see what the jury says". what's next? "well, lets see what the appeals court says"? or "the jurors were biased"? I guess you'll just keep on kicking that can down the road with excuses...

On the contrary; I was correct in the former, and we shall wait and see what happens in the latter. No excuses at all.

What reason did your friend give for attending?
