There's a team of special agents or Uniform Division officers (counter snipers are UD, not agents) doing all the advance work on the ground to figure out how many resources are needed. That team includes the lead advance agent, the site agent, the counter sniper team conducting the initial survey of the rally or event venue.

Then those agents/officers (counter snipers are officers, not agents) sends it to the LEAD ADVANCE AGENT -- who then send all their detailed manpower requests to the Assistant Director Protective Operations, or ADPO, back in Washington, a GS-14 or around that level of official, who reviews the plan, looks at all the diagrams, and they decide what kind of resources the event is going to get.

There are almost always cuts, an notion of "do more with less," a source within the Secret Service community tells me.

My sources tell me these GS-14s or around that level of manager, get bonuses based on how much money they can save for the agency based on the cuts.

"They put it in their final reports to their managers, 'Hey, look how much money we saved this year,'" the source continued.. "It's really goofy, because they look a all the diagrams, and in their wisdom back in D.C. -- they're not the ones at the site -- how much, how many resources you're gonna get."

Let’s try again. The assertion made by the tweet poster is demonstrably false given the example of the IDF. Israeli women are no more or less physically able than women born in this country. A woman is just as capable as a man at pulling a trigger, driving a tank or flying a fighter jet. Or taking a bullet for the president. The issues surrounding the assassination attempt and the subsequent investigation has nothing to do with women although their presence gives the tweeter and yourself room to bleat ridiculous and misogynistic comments.

Right. There is no such thing as small government. Perhaps what should be done is cutting monies going to red states. Think of the billions that could be saved. No FEMA when hurricanes hit the gulf coast.

What we've got now has been outstanding.

I'm having a hard time feeling this issue SFL, the Secret Service has an overall outstanding record of protecting their principles for a log time, limiting the attempts they have encountered in spite of their efforts, to mere woundings, not death since what, 50 years. That year RFK was assassinated.

The Criminal was wounded the very least. This one would be the one I would think I would forget the first. If I were going to forget one.

I've been wounded worse than the Criminal was and didn't even stop working. It's usually my hands. I fold up a paper towel and use duct tape to hold it on as a bandage, then turn from the tool box where those supplies are and continue on doing what I was doing. Sometimes after I do get finished after a wounding i have to clean my blood smears off of the machine I was working on.
