And if they don’t have press conferences that becomes a conspiracy as well.they'd rather them answer "we don't know yet" in a press conference so they can make up their own conspiracies...
All good questions. How have we not had a major press conference detailing everything that is known so far?
Key question -- What technology tools were and weren’t used in terms of aerial surveillance?
-- Does the Secret Service have a policy of not using drones at these types of events even though, I'm told, they've had at least a pilot drone program in the past.
The use of drones has been a point of contention within the agency dating back to at least 2016, according sources in the law enforcement community.
Many Secret Service officials have pushed to implement the drones, but the director, Joe Clancy, and other officials at the time rejected the widespread use of drones.
"They have access to all the best imagery and elevation data ahead of anything," the source said. "Even tethered drones would have helped."
And even if it's not within the Secret Service, "the agency could enlist Customs & Border Patrol, Air & Marine Operations or FBI, which are more familiar with those tools," a law enforcement source told me.
And, if it's a law enforcement "title issue," i.e. a legal issue, the Secret Service could enlist Title 10 capabilities, which they can do at a National Special Security Event (NSSE), a legal term for a designated event of significant political, economic, social or religious importance. That could also enlist Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to come support.
Limited when the person was on a hot roof? I think that sounds reasonable.Pretty sure it was mentioned or reported that the drones they use with cameras that can detect heat signatures would have been limited because of how hot it was outside. I'm not sure I buy that tho.
It's possible for sure. I am curious to see what the official investigation will say about the drones.Limited when the person was on a hot roof? I think that sounds reasonable.
I'm not sure what else the article says because I'm unable to view it.
The Secret Service and director had earlier claimed to @washingtonpost and campaign no such requests were denied .
The secret service director lied and she should resign.
This is unacceptable. Multiple denials for more security in this heighted political environment.
Secret Service officials rejected Donald Trump’s request for additional security in the two years before last weekend’s assassination attempt, a damning report revealed Saturday.
The ex-president, 78, asked for more agents and magnetometers at large public events he attended, as well as snipers for outdoor venues, four insiders told The Washington Post.
Each request was shot down by senior officials who claimed the agency lacked the resources Trump was asking for, the outlet reported.
It's eerie how close he got with the detail of the ear.
Why? That's would be stupidYou should stop posting on this topic until we find out more information.
What does 2016 have to do with 2024?If Trump already had more security then in 2016, how does this matter?
Who knows at this point. Either way she needs to resign which is rumored to happen Monday. Was it lack of staffing that caused the shooter to be able to access the roof and fire?
Okay and we have gotten some answers along the way. Are you suggesting we ignore those new details and just wait for the investigation to be completed? These are all answers you get in an investigation.
Not ignore them, but acknowledge that the facts coming out are only a small part of the larger picture and may end up meaning something different than what we think. Why? That's would be stupid

Trump wasn't a former president in 2016, and we've never had a former president run again. He should have gotten more agents especially when the Democrats and the media are constantly saying Trump is a Russian agent, Hitler, he will end democracy, he will end elections, etc.Trump was a candidate in 2016. He is again in 2024. He would have been president in 2020. It's the most obvious contrast. Does Trump have less staffing then in 2016?
Because the job of the Secret Service is to protect the president(even former) and he would have been assassinated if he didn't turn his head.Isn't the SS Director going to have a hearing this week? Why do you think she would resign before that?
Yeah that's a new detail. I posted a 2nd time on that because I didn't have any details from the Washington Post article. What new details? I've read at least twice in this thread now that Trump wanted more staffing.
