Assassination attempt on Trump (2 Viewers)

I think everyone understands center mass but wouldn't the shooter take the head shot if body armor was highly probable and a podium was in front? Wasn't Kennedy shot in the head?

The context is a conspiracy to murder Trump using an unskilled 20 year old shooter.

Oswald was a former marine and operating from a protected vantage point. He fired three times striking Kennedy twice.

Oswald may not have been an award wining crackshot, but he was pretty darn good. So do you see the difference?
And, if memory serves, LHO scouted a good bit before pulling that off. This kid likely did this only after seeing the opportunity was there. It was reported that he was moving around, like building to building looking for a good spot to do his thing.

No, I don't. People are saying no one ever takes a head shot to kill but that is just not true depending on the obstructions, shot and protection. I am by no means saying this was not a single shooter/lone crazy wolf situation but to use the shot placement as a means to discredit a theory is just not accurate and it is dishonest.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the scouting was helped along by being a scrawny, nerdy, young looking guy. Officers reportedly took notice of him and probably dismissed him as harmless on appearances. That shouldn’t have been the case, but profiling - for and against - happens.

Should I start demanding apologies like J-Donk did?

Thomas Matthew Crooks reportedly disliked Republican and Democrat politicians and called a classmate "stupid" for supporting President Trump.

A classmate also reported that Crooks and his friends threatened to "shoot up" their high school during their freshman year.

"I brought up the fact that I'm Hispanic, and I'm for Trump."

"He called me stupid or insinuated that I was stupid."

"He did not like politicians. Especially during 2016, it was Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, all of them. He showed that he disliked all of them."

"He was a know-it-all. So once again, if he was passionate about something, he would talk, talk, talk and act like he knew everything, especially politics related."

"He was real smug and arrogant whenever he was talking."

"His friend group... they were definitely the type, and they did make threats to shoot up our school. During our freshmen year, there were Snapchat messages saying Thomas made a threat. It was that friend group."

"Everyone was mainly blaming his friend group, but the name that kept coming up was Thomas."

"The signs were there, and somebody definitely had to have known whether he was talking to somebody... Anybody who knew him should have known something was up."

Does this say he wasn't a Republican? Where is the secret Democrat claim?

How does this help your case SFL? Why don't you articulate that point before you ask for an apology.

This is the weapon I would have chosen, the most accurate high powered mass produced rifle I know of.

    Gewehr_98_noBG.jpg

I had one when I was the age of that kid. The ammo is hard to get ahold of, and almost impossible reload at home due to the fact that the primer is double ported, so a reloading die is unable to press the primer out.

The rifles were very inexpensive at that time. As I recall the surplus catalog price was $17,99. They were inexpensive because the rifles were made in 1898, and there were a lot of them.

The sights were very fine and for a person with good eyesight the open sights would out do most scopes I would have been able to have bought at that time.

The barrel was 29 inches long, a very long barrel for extreme accuracy. The workmanship was German. It's the Gewehr 98. As in 1898.

It shows he had mixed political views as I speculated previously.

It's a shame you won't be able to use your talking point anymore to defect from the left's Trump is Hitler rhetoric.

To be clear, I’m not saying that. I’m addressing the conspiracy speculation. If it was a conspiracy to kill Trump, either a better shooter would have been in place, or a less skilled shooter taking higher percentage shots.

Basically I’m just saying I don’t buy into the conspiracy theories. I do understand those will immediately pop up very quickly for something like this.

There hasn’t even been a completed investigation yet and we know very little.

That's not mixed views. He may have hated Trump, along with all of the Democrats.

He was a registered Republican, wearing a Pro-2A shirt.

The same online store that sold him that shirt, sold this:

You sound insane to try and claim liberal messaging influenced a conserative to shoot another conserative.

FYI: You have to use google's wayback machine, because these Demo Ranch boys tried to scrub this after the shooting.

so you don't see a difference in a 20 year old with minimal training at a local gun range and an ex marine who was a marksman?
