I was looking for a place to put this so we could discuss but didn't really find a place that worked so I created this thread so we can all place articles, experiences, videos and examples of racism in the USA.

This is one that happened this week. The lady even called and filed a complaint on the officer. This officer also chose to wear the body cam (apparently, LA doesn't require this yet). This exchange wasn't necessarily racist IMO until she started with the "mexican racist...you will never be white, like you want" garbage. That is when it turned racist IMO

All the murderer and other insults, I think are just a by product of CRT and ACAB rhetoric that is very common on the radical left and sadly is being brought to mainstream in this country.

Another point that I think is worth mentioning is she is a teacher and the sense of entitlement she feels is mind blowing.

She did. So? The question is does her using a 'no-no' word have any effect on her job? That is fair, but to just call her a racist because she used an unapproved word is worse than the use of a word in someone home while watching a thug fight with her family at her home.

I have a feeling if this dude was white and it was a black a judge and she used the word 'honkey' or whatever is the new 'no-no' word for white people, no one would bat an eye.
    So? She's racist.

The question is does her using a 'no-no' word have any effect on her job? Yes, she is currently on unpaid leave. So it did affect her job.

Skin color is not a choice. Being a Karen is. I have no problem using words that describe a person's choices or actions- butt crevasse, insensitive meanie, shirtty driver, Karen.

By your own admission, you feel that it's ok to use someone's skin color as a way to belittle them. That's pretty gosh darned forked up.
Can a black lady be a 'Karen'?

Did I say it was 'ok'?

Her using the word by itself had no effect on her job that we know. The reaction from the mob for using the word is what got her suspended.

Yes, because Louisiana is well known for bending to the woke mob.

What about 'Karen'? Have you used that racial slur?
Are you seriously...SERIOUSLY...trying to compare calling someone a Karen with calling someone the n-word?

Can a black lady be a 'Karen'?
    Yes.

I had typed a whole explanation on this, but suffice it to say, being a Karen has nothing to do with whiteness and everything to do with being an butt crevasse to people in the customer service industry.

The n-word has everything to do with blackness.

Someone that is racist enough to use that word, in that context, harbors racist feelings that call into question her ability to fairly adjudicate. There may be no way to truly know if her racism affects her work, but luckily, we don't have to find out if it will. There is a moral obligation to ensure that a known racist is not determining the outcomes of cases involving people of color.

She should be removed from her duties. She cannot be allowed to continue serving as an impartial judge when she is anything but.

Similar crime and similar criminal history. Other wise, that is a dumb metric.

Is Jessie Smollett racist? What about Chris Rock? Those guys have used the word in regards to someone else that is black.

Is the use of Karen, apparently a part of the black vernacular in this country now, also racsist? That is a good discussion to be had.
This is not a good discussion. This is you avoiding the current discussion because you find yourself advocating for racist behavior.

You said if anyone uses that word, then they are racist. I am pointing out that blacks can use the word as often as punctuation and choruses. I am pointing out just because someone says a word under duress doesn't mean they are a racist. Dumb and over emotional, but still not racist.
This lady might also be a member of the white nationalist groups I keep hearing about on here and that would be fine to have her fired.

Honestly, when the mob and the media passes judgement in a day, I am automatically skeptical as should most because of their track record of being wrong.

    Been to New Orleans lately?

It’s been a while, certainly it’s been longer since the last time you defended a racist.

In my experience, people in New Orleans aren’t the type to be looking for people to cancel.

Sure, they are probably much more liberal than the rest of the state, but they aren’t really the type to go hunt you down or demand you get fired from your job because you were just insensitive.

I have lived in New Orleans, but I haven’t been since Trump, so maybe it changed, but I doubt it.

True. So a 'Karen' can be a black lady as well.

Cracker, and Honkey are the only two white racial slurs that are similar to the n-word.

I work at at fortune 100 company, and you would face some kind of disciplinary action for saying any racial slur in workplace communication.

I'll add I think it's dumb to call someone a racist who says the n-word while singing along to their favorite rap song, etc. It's the intent that really matters.

Was this posted by her, or her family members? If so, she could be fired/recalled for a lack of common sense.

I work in an environment that expects a certain amount of professionalism. I would expect the same from a judge.

Hmm.. vs a track record of racism that the US is founded upon?

I'm not saying these things have to exist in a vacuum, but let's not act like the 'woke mob' the right incessantly cries about isn't in good part a reaction to the historical context mentioned a statement before.

I suppose it’s not impossible, but I am not aware of any examples of black women calling the police or asking for the manager because they thought a white personal was stealing from them or didn’t belong in their neighborhood...

If you have some examples, I’m all ears, otherwise stop making shirt up.

Depends on how you are defining Karen, I guess. I've seen more than one person harass people in the customer service industry and, as I said, they spanned across more than one racial demographic.

Why do you spend so much energy defending a woman that hurled racial slurs?

She wasn’t under duress in that leaked recording. They were watching the security camera footage after the fact and they were all laughing their &&& off while calling that dude the n-word, and a roach. When it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it is a duck including those who defend that behavior.

The Louisiana Supreme Court has apparently been taken over by a woke mob
