I was looking for a place to put this so we could discuss but didn't really find a place that worked so I created this thread so we can all place articles, experiences, videos and examples of racism in the USA.

This is one that happened this week. The lady even called and filed a complaint on the officer. This officer also chose to wear the body cam (apparently, LA doesn't require this yet). This exchange wasn't necessarily racist IMO until she started with the "mexican racist...you will never be white, like you want" garbage. That is when it turned racist IMO

All the murderer and other insults, I think are just a by product of CRT and ACAB rhetoric that is very common on the radical left and sadly is being brought to mainstream in this country.

Another point that I think is worth mentioning is she is a teacher and the sense of entitlement she feels is mind blowing.

she released a statement blaming it on a sedative. Then she deflected even more about their son's substance abuse (whatever that has to do with anything, I have no idea)

I saw today she is on unpaid leave

I really question how justice could be "blind" if a judge has these thoughts about a certain group of people

this is kind of a rhetorical statement because as most of us already know, justice isn't, and hasn't been, blind.

What do you think was her intent in using that word, after the fact and when there was no danger? And do you think it could be different than the intent of a black person who chooses to use the N word? Since you are saying intent matters.
    Anger and adrenaline wearing off?
I have no idea if this chick is racist or not, but the fact she used a racial slur when watching her car, at her home and her loved ones wrestling said criminal to the ground proves she is a racist then I have a feeling every person in the world would be 'racist'.

I have no problem saying that if something like that happened to me and I was pissed, yeah, I would say whatever I needed to say in order to 'hurt' that person in my anger.

    To paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy

“If you use the N word, you might be a racist”

Not definitely, but might, possibly, perhaps probably

    But definitely worth looking into

And as a judge one metric would be easy to look into

How does she sentence white vs black for similar crimes?

If whites get probation and blacks get 6-12 months (which we know happens) that would be a clue

She was watching a video of the encounter I thought? The person she was calling that word wasn’t present, having been taken away by police. They were watching security footage of the apprehension. That change your mind at all?

You can feel what you want. I've never said that word, I've never used a racial slur of any kind, and I sure as hell wouldn't start just because I was angry.

So this lady had her car, at her home broken into, her sons or husband(?) wrestle the criminal to the ground at her home and she called the criminal a bad word?
Oh my, do you think he will recover, poor criminal!
Seriously, yall pick the worst martyrs.

This must be the more the of the systematic racism that is holding the criminal class down.
You defending her speaks louder than just about anything else you have posted in this thread.

You need better friends and acquaintances. If everyone you know would call a black person who broke into their car ""brother", "brother", like a cockroach" when watching the event some time after it occurred, then yeah no wonder you think this is normal. It isn't.

Once again, it appears your issue is with reading comprehension.

What makes you think this judge is 'racsit'?
We’ve finally reached the endgame, where even someone openly saying the n-word is not a racist, according to you.

And you’re saying that because she was extremely agitated, it shouldn’t count as her being a racist. So now I’m asking, under your rules, what context would using the freaking n-word actually be racist?

You’ve already said it can’t be when someone is extremely angry or agitated. Do you think people were angry or agitated when they used the n-word before lynching people in the civil rights era? How about in the streets while they were spraying people down with fire hoses and setting dogs on them? Do you think when they used the n-word there it was racist? I’m pretty sure they would have been extremely agitated in those moments, too. Or what about when a slave got out of line? Using the n-word there is probably not racist because hey, the slave owner sure was mad at the black person who did something wrong!

Or maybe you’re saying that in order to be racist, you have to say the n-word completely calmly? No, because you don’t think Atwater’s use of the n-word when describing the southern strategy is racist.

So yea. We’ve reached the endgame where the line of shouting the n-word in anger, the thing that should be the most obvious indicator of racism, is being argued to be not racist.

If that is not racism, then you will never see racism anywhere.

    And it’s because you’re a racist.

There are many words she could have called him...scum, trash, garbage, evil, but she chose the most racist one.

She was watching a video of the encounter I thought? The person she was calling that word wasn’t present, having been taken away by police. They were watching security footage of the apprehension. That change your mind at all?
The actual greatest part of all this is someone in their inner circle recorded it and sent it out to the world for likes. Getting laughs and likes from other racist people backfired to this. That is some kind of poetic justice that the small mindedness of racism cost her a big brain job of judge.

Similar crime and similar criminal history. Other wise, that is a dumb metric.

Is Jessie Smollett racist? What about Chris Rock? Those guys have used the word in regards to someone else that is black.

Is the use of Karen, apparently a part of the black vernacular in this country now, also racsist? That is a good discussion to be had.

She was watching a video of the encounter I thought? The person she was calling that word wasn’t present, having been taken away by police. They were watching security footage of the apprehension. That change your mind at all?
Nope. I can imagine myself, but we know I am racist, watching a criminal at my house and my family in physical combat with said criminal I would use words much worse than the n-word. Does it matter if it was the first time they had seen the video?

There are many words she could have called him...scum, trash, garbage, evil, but she chose the most racist one.
She did. So? The question is does her using a 'no-no' word have any effect on her job? That is fair, but to just call her a racist because she used an unapproved word is worse than the use of a word in someone home while watching a thug fight with her family at her home.

I have a feeling if this dude was white and it was a black a judge and she used the word 'honkey' or whatever is the new 'no-no' word for white people, no one would bat an eye.

Good point. I think because of that fact alone, she should be investigated. I would imagine it was a teenager that sent that out to be edgy and I hope she whoops that arse!

What about 'Karen'? Have you used that racial slur?

Skin color is not a choice. Being a Karen is. I have no problem using words that describe a person's choices or actions- butt crevasse, insensitive meanie, shirtty driver, Karen.

By your own admission, you feel that it's ok to use someone's skin color as a way to belittle them. That's pretty gosh darned forked up.

Calling someone racist for repeatedly using a racial slur is worse than using a racial slur?
