I was looking for a place to put this so we could discuss but didn't really find a place that worked so I created this thread so we can all place articles, experiences, videos and examples of racism in the USA.

This is one that happened this week. The lady even called and filed a complaint on the officer. This officer also chose to wear the body cam (apparently, LA doesn't require this yet). This exchange wasn't necessarily racist IMO until she started with the "mexican racist...you will never be white, like you want" garbage. That is when it turned racist IMO

All the murderer and other insults, I think are just a by product of CRT and ACAB rhetoric that is very common on the radical left and sadly is being brought to mainstream in this country.

Another point that I think is worth mentioning is she is a teacher and the sense of entitlement she feels is mind blowing.

I think that song is an appropriate reaction to the media and the lefts gaslighting about the BLM riots that destroyed many minority owned businesses while exaggerating what happened on January 6th.

This is pure rubbish and not at all responsive to the conversation I thought we were trying to have.

I looked this up because I thought, "Nah, that can't be true. Is it?"

Of course it's true. What was I thinking? 😂 😂 😂 You can't make this crap up.

    Lyrics below:

    Rearview Town
    By: Jason Aldean

Wipe the footprints off my dash
    Tore up those sun-faded photographs
Threw 'em in the wind, ya'll can have it back
    I'm outta here
I stuck my middle finger up in the sky
Flipped off that "Ya'll Come Back" sign
Looked in the mirror one last time
    And watched it disappear

It ain't nothin' but a rearview town
    Broken hearts and rusted plows
Roots ripped right up out of the ground
Never thought I'd ever leave it
Oh, it ain't nothin' what it used to be
    Population minus me
On the other side of that dust cloud
Ain't nothin' but a rearview town

I could tough it out, but what's the use?
A place that small, it's hard to do
Too much of her to run into
And so much road to somewhere new

It ain't nothin' but a rearview town
    Broken hearts and rusted plows
Roots ripped right up out of the ground
Never thought I'd ever leave it
Oh, it ain't nothin' what it used to be
    Population minus me
On the other side of that dust cloud
Ain't nothin' but a rearview town

    It ain't nothin' but yesterday
One less truck rollin' down Main
    Ain't nothin' left to say

No, it ain't nothin' what it used to be
    Population minus me
On the other side of that dust cloud
Ain't nothin' but a rearview town
Ain't nothin' but a rearview town

What's rubbish is you and the left trying to link that song to racism because it shows scenes that were similar to how the BLM riots decimated cities while many on the left were defending those actions. I'm not surprised because many on the left(and here)blame everything on racism and Russia. And then after January 6th(which was bad) many on the left were gaslighting claiming the riots weren't that bad. Seeing how the left views the BLM riots compared to January 6th shows most of them are either full of shirt or complete hypocrites. Why not say both January 6th and the BLM riots were bad?

You know you can call someone a gold ole boy without it having any racist connotations right?

You might not have heard, but he didn't write Try that in a small town.

The majority of Americans say: People have a right to protest peacefully, but those who break the law should be held accountable.

You hear: I defend the people who broke the law.

Video footage shows thousands of people peacefully protesting while a few dozen break the law around them.

    You see: They're all rioting.

Yet, you say everyone else is brainwashed?

The left's fake controversies are getting more obvious. Yall need a new playbook. Do we need to bring up all the racist things Biden has said?

you do not even see the irony do you? You’re just totally oblivious.

Your cherry picked interview with Dr. Allen proves nothing, btw. One man’s opinion doesn’t make it right, and he should be able to tell that the intent of these standards isn’t to build up the slaves’ character, rather it comes across as excusing the slave holders by saying see, it wasn’t all that bad.

If you cannot see that neither DeSantis nor his hand-picked board of education (who produced exactly what he wanted) are serious about portraying slavery accurately, then that’s on you.

Did you see the tweet I posted from a man whose ancestor was a blacksmith as a slave? What we know is he was most likely taught the skill from another slave. He was fortunate enough to live during the time that slaves were freed, though, and so he was one of the very, very few who did learn something useful that helped him after he was freed. However, his children were taken from him and sold to other white people. Do you think he would have felt gratitude about his learning a trade?

It can be true that slaves were resourceful, and brave and smart. But it can also be true that they weren’t taught any skills as some sort of benevolent act, which is what the standards are implying.

I gave you a thoughtful answer to your question based on the lyrics and context - and you’ve now twice given me pure bullshirt.

For decades, Bobbie Anne Hemingway Jordan lived on the same property, in the house where she was born. Her backyard was often filled with the sound of her two dozen grandkids as they ran to and from the park next door.

For generations, Hemingway Jordan’s family lived and farmed on the land, and the 82-year-old believed it would be passed down to future generations as well. “I thought it would be left to my children, and they could leave it to their children,” she said.

Then, in 2021, appraisers offered to buy the land and her house. The sum she received for her three-bedroom, two-bath house was just enough money to purchase a one-bedroom apartment in a nearby community.

In April of this year, Hemingway Jordan moved out. “I didn’t think I’d ever have to leave that land,” she said from her new apartment. “All the memories I’ve got, all the love, the things that happened on that property – they couldn’t pay me enough for that.”

Hemingway Jordan grew up in Sandridge, a small, majority-Black community in South Carolina where longtime residents say their homes are being sacrificed to build a controversial infrastructure project. The Conway Perimeter Road would span four lanes and connect two existing highways and allegedly cut travel time for those headed to the nearby beach – and it would also mean destroying at least six homes in Sandridge.

“They are destroying everything that was given to us [...] by our parents and foreparents, who just wanted to give us a community, to give us a place to call home,” said the Rev Cedric Blain-Spain, who has been campaigning against the road since 2019. “Our legacy, it means nothing to them.”

In addition to demolishing half a dozen homes, the new road would also split the community in two, making it harder for residents to travel within their own neighborhood. Trips to the grocery store or church will take longer for those who stay.

As the Biden administration releases funding to remediate communities where homes were once sacrificed to make room for highways, the case of Sandridge shows how the impacts of new road developments are still disproportionately falling on Black communities.

Using highways to divide Black communities has a long history in the United States. Take virtually any city in the country and overlay demographic data over highways, and you can see that the largest burden of construction falls on African American communities, according to Julian Agyeman, a critical urban planner and professor at Tufts University.

“These highways were not accidents,” he said. “Urban planning is the spatial toolkit of racial segregation.”………

I don't agree with any of that.
Do you not think people other than white people live in small towns and also don't want violence, riots, or street crime in the communities they live in?

The real question is do you think songs/lyrics influence behavior?

What's wrong with Law & Order? Why in the world would anyone be against Law & Order? Do you not think people other than white people also want Law & Order?

I don't think you understood my post.

As far as people not wanting law and order, can you explain the defund the police movement that BLM started and championed and how that showed that they wanted law and order?

    Fake controversy.

Everything Ole Joe's DEI hire has done and will ever do is flame fake racial controversy. I think I heard made history again by breaking a record for the lowest poll number by a VP in American history. "we did it, Joe"

Besides a meme, can you answer the question? It is an odd stance to support 'law and order' while supporting the BLM riots.

Is it an odd stance to support Jan 6th rioters while chastasing those who rioted during BLM protest?

Yes, it was meant to promote more training in other areas like mental health workers, case workers, etc other than just dumping the money into the current system that shoots first and asks questions later.
I remember my Mother in Law was mad that Micheal Jordan donated a bunch of money to a Police-community relations program instead of to the police dept for regular training and equipment.

Can you show proof of the 'shoot first and ask questions later'? All of the FBI data I have seen prove quite the opposite, especially if you are a minority.

shoot first was more of an expression.
but if you want to read endless examples, just head over to SR and read through this thread if you haven't been part of it.. so many times bad things happened to people that could have been easily de-escalated, especially those that were having known mental problems..
