I was looking for a place to put this so we could discuss but didn't really find a place that worked so I created this thread so we can all place articles, experiences, videos and examples of racism in the USA.

This is one that happened this week. The lady even called and filed a complaint on the officer. This officer also chose to wear the body cam (apparently, LA doesn't require this yet). This exchange wasn't necessarily racist IMO until she started with the "mexican racist...you will never be white, like you want" garbage. That is when it turned racist IMO

All the murderer and other insults, I think are just a by product of CRT and ACAB rhetoric that is very common on the radical left and sadly is being brought to mainstream in this country.

Another point that I think is worth mentioning is she is a teacher and the sense of entitlement she feels is mind blowing.

I think the Left is trying to rewrite history.

Yet another reason to immediately disqualify anything that comes out of their mouths.
Wow. This really comes across as completely delusional. Was that your intent? How is the Left trying to rewrite history?
Is the left currently banning books? No, that's Republicans.
Is the left actually trying to pass laws to hide the truth so that white students don't feel bad about the history of slavery? No, once again, that's Republicans
Is the left lying about the insurrection and the republican party attempt at overthrowing the government? No, yet again, Republicans.

Look, you're new here. Simply posting bullshirt that you believe or support will not pass muster. You either support your claims with facts and sound reasoning or you get ridiculed. You people on the right support someone who has provably lied to you more than 80K times in 5 years. Hell, the lies he told actually killed a good bit of you. You go right ahead and drink the kool-aid (I almost wish Trump would pass out some Jim Jones juice at his rallies). But don't come here and expect the rest of us to believe galactically stupid rhetoric and trumplican talking points.

Facts matter here. You may have taken a wrong turn and thought you were on some droppings board.

You call leftist propaganda books? I mean, books that kids and students should be reading? lol
You call making white kids feel bad about themselves a worthy practice? lol
You call a protest gone wrong, an insurrection? lol

Look, I am new here, but I'm not new to the BS that flows through these chat boards. Most of what your side argues is complete hogwash. It's an echo chamber for the Left. I used to come in and spew nothing but acid at your side, but those days are over. I'm actually setting that crap aside and engaging you people head on. But thanks to the wokeness movement, reliable sources have gotten kinda scarce. That means I often have to rely on what I already know and what I can deduce for myself. If you don't like that methodology then you can always hit the ignore feature. ;)

Democrats are turning out in those numbers in SPITE of the Rs trying to supress. It is having the opposite effect than they thought it would. But we all know as soon as the election is over EVERY single loss that the Rs receieve, will blame voting fraud. EVERY SINGLE ONE. I'll come back and eat crow if i am wrong.. Anyone want to bet against me on this? @SaintForLife ?
I don't support any of the election deniers so I'm not sure why you are asking me that question.

You are engaging with lies and misinformation. Don't kid yourself. You haven't changed.
That means I often have to rely on what I already know and what I can deduce for myself.
The problem is that you THINK you know, but you don't....and unfortunately you never will. You've completely lost the ability to live in reality and think for yourself.

Edmund Burke said it best when he said "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” In this case, the evil being referred to is the attempt by trumplicans to convince people that the riot, insurrection and attempted coup on January 6 was nothing more than a "protest gone wrong". January 6 was an attack on this country by traitors who should have been put down with extreme prejudice by all means necessary.

So no, I won't be ignoring your posts as long as you continue to spew demonstrable lies. Now, you may choose to ignore me if you so chose. But then again, I expect you to do just that as you clearly have already chosen to ignore reality.

I'm sorry, but Republicans have almost zero history of racism. All that systemic shirt started with the democrats, and it's STILL here!

Where the Republicans have failed is wiping that shirt completely out. We need to stamp out welfare legacies and free disadvantaged minorities from their democrat slum lords.

Lee Atwater and the Southern Strategy beg to disagree.

Oh he/she is well aware of the Southern Strategy and how the Republicans embraced racism to win political power. He/she is just using tried and true Republican tactics of purposely forgetting or outright ignoring their past. EVERYONE knows Republicans are the party of racism. It's just their religious mission to try to convince everyone that what they are seeing now and have been seeing for the last 60 years is not actually happening.

You call making white kids feel bad about themselves a worthy practice? lol
No. I call it teaching history and what actually happened. Do you suggest we start lying to the public about the Catholic church and the inquisition and most recently the sexual abuse of children by priests so that Catholics don't feel bad? Do you suggest we ignore the atrocities that the nazis committed so that Germans don't have to acknowledge their past? Oh, wait, you probably do. How about we not talk about the KKK and all the innocent black people their killed, I mean, every person that has ever been a member of the KKK were white. Do you not want to feel bad about that aspect of your history? There will be no white-washing of history here. Pun fully intended.

You call making white kids feel bad about themselves a worthy practice?

I'm white, and knowing my white ancestors owned slaves and were probably on the wrong side of the civil rights era doesn't make me feel bad. I am not my ancestors, and I am not responsible for their actions. I'm sure we would agree on that point.

However, because I know that history and the millions of stories like it that left an indelible mark on America, and because I know how that history continues to affect racial inequities today, I am able to make informed decisions, including political decisions, that help rectify today's inequalities caused by those generations of racial harm.

I am not responsible for the racism of my ancestors. However, because my education has included the knowledge that systemic racism from the past continues to exist in America today, I am absolutely responsible for the decisions I make today regarding systemic racism.

If I make decisions that continue to support systemic racism, I should feel bad knowing that I am continuing the oppression of minorities in my country, because I'm doing a bad thing (not my ancestors). Further, if I make decisions that don't actively work to destroy systemic racism, I should feel bad for the same reason.

When you do bad things, you should feel bad about it. When your ancestors do bad things, you shouldn't. It's actually a pretty easy concept to grasp.

Crucially, it is impossible to know if my decisions are helping to support or dismantle systemic racism in America without knowing history and knowing how history affects today.

The only reason I could imagine one wanting to prevent students from being informed about the historically racist practices of America is to prevent the bolded part above - if they don't know about America's racist past, then they can't be held responsible for making decisions today that maintain the continued racial inequalities in our country. On the other hand, if they are taught about history as it happened and how it applies to today, those students may come to realize that our society is not yet perfect, and many institutions are still in need of adjustment and course correction to make up for past racial failures.

And if they do that, they may dismantle the current system in America that maintains the position and power of wealthy white men. And conserving that system is pretty much the point of conservatism. Ergo, education about America's history leads to fewer conservatives, so that education has to go.

It's not about making white kids feel bad. It's about what happens if they realize that the work to dismantle racism in America is not yet finished.

I'm white too, and I don't need some jackass telling my kid that his skin tone is part of the problem. It's better to teach our kids how to mutually respect each other and leave history in the text books, where it belongs.

    Says the misinformed. ;)

Gaslight much? I think for myself a helluva lot more than you people do, that's for damn sure.

"trumplicans" isn't even a word. THAT by itself sums up what you're about, which is total fabrication and lies.
So no, I won't be ignoring your posts
That's good because I can't cram the truth down people's throats very well when they have me on ignore. ;)
