I was looking for a place to put this so we could discuss but didn't really find a place that worked so I created this thread so we can all place articles, experiences, videos and examples of racism in the USA.

This is one that happened this week. The lady even called and filed a complaint on the officer. This officer also chose to wear the body cam (apparently, LA doesn't require this yet). This exchange wasn't necessarily racist IMO until she started with the "mexican racist...you will never be white, like you want" garbage. That is when it turned racist IMO

All the murderer and other insults, I think are just a by product of CRT and ACAB rhetoric that is very common on the radical left and sadly is being brought to mainstream in this country.

Another point that I think is worth mentioning is she is a teacher and the sense of entitlement she feels is mind blowing.

That's odd. I read a decent amount of CRT books and articles (20ish years ago before it became a bogey man buzzword of the right) and I wouldn't have arrived at the nonsensical actions in the article you linked. Maybe it's just the end result of reactionary stupidity (like Trump voters and their conspiracy theories) and not necessarily CRT itself.
It look really bad when someone has to interject a completely unrelated subject to justify another subject. For example you just bringing up Trump.

But, you don't think that this is part of the end result of a generation being taught that one race is the oppressor and the current oppressor and another race is a victim?

And please don't reply with something about Trump. If you have nothing, just don't reply, well all will thank you and you will too.

Or it might be another case of the NY Post being full of shirt and skewing a story to provoke Farb’s (and other folks like him) rage. They’re known for that.

The subreddit for the UC Berkeley community and the surrounding City of Berkeley, California, has created some buzz over the last two weeks.

A set of house rules seemingly created by the members of a private housing co-op located off the University of California, Berkeley campus has banned all white guests from the common spaces. Among other things, the “Person of Color Theme House” tenants demand respect from all guests.

It aims to provide housing to “low-income, first-generation, immigrant and marginalized students of color.”

The introduction of the rules emphasizes that all tenants take responsibility for their guests’ behavior and ensure that they act in accordance with the theme of the house."

Do you support segregation based on skin color?

Do you think that one private residence in Berkeley possibly over-reacting and being discriminatory is equal to all the racism perpetrated on black people by white people? That this one time (if it is true) just cancels out everything else? Lol.

And your sources even say that this is a “leak” of “seemingly created” house rules.

Every source you posted has basically run with the same leak without any statements from the owner of the house, and no attributed quotes from the residents. Also, all but one source is right-leaning, and low credibility. (your msn article is actually from Fox).

The Black Enterprise article has more information, but I cannot tell from the article exactly what the issue is. This article also has an attributed quote from someone who works with co-op houses saying that there are no official rules that say this.

The analogy is quite apt. You don't think it's bad that a generation has been taught -- or is in the course of being taught -- that elections are fraudulent? My general point, which perhaps was unclear, is that you always ascribe extremist beliefs to far more people than that which actually hold them (and you grossly simplify CRT... no doubt based on things you read online). Rather than a conspiratorial explanation -- which you yourself admit to being quick to embrace on occasion -- maybe Occam's Razor suggests people on either side do and believe in stupid shirt. If you think CRT in-an-of-itself is the problem, you have been drinking too much of the red Kool-Aid. It, like most every other philosophical/sociological interpretative framework, can be taken to absurd extremes.

A white supremacist group whose members helped ransack the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection failed to infiltrate a Labor Day parade in New Jersey on Monday, the city’s mayor said in a statement.

South Plainfield Mayor Matthew Anesh says the group of racists, part of the New Jersey European Heritage Association, tried to sneak into the back of his city’s annual parade but were quickly stopped by police. The group never registered with the city and were treated as protesters, Anesh said.

The group’s unofficial status didn’t stop pissed off parade goers from heckling and recording the men, however...........

I assume when you discuss election being fraudulent, you are also including when Trump won (not my president), Bush/Gore and when Abrams lost to Kemp in Ga? That is the only way to be fair, correct?

I do think CRT is a problem in schools. Colleges, no, that is a waste land already in the soft sciences. Gender theory as well. All of these combined create the extreme bipartisan environment that we live in today.

So now we moved from 'this is not happening, you are being lied to' to 'well, maybe, but those involved of this act are saying it is not like that'. Let's make this simple:
Do you think segregation by skin color is acceptable if it make others feel more safe?

I am not discussing something that, for all we know, was made up out of whole cloth. You completely ignore the facts as presented to you - a representative of the university that works with co-ops says there is no such policy. You also ignore that your right wing sources all twisted this case to induce outrage and have zero quotes from anyone that might know about said policies.

Of course segregation is wrong. There is zero proof of any such thing in this case, unless you want to count “chats” and “screen shots” of same.

It’s extremely telling on you, though, that you will dismiss evidence of actual racism from the banking system, the penal system, etc. to the point of denying it is happening, and yet you will cling to what seems to most likely be the strident over-reaction by some black students to the racism that is all around them. It would be like ignoring a huge mountain to focus on an ant hill. Yet, here you are.

While attending her daughter’s high school volleyball game on Friday (Sept. 2), a mother was shocked to witness white students directing monkey noises toward Black athletes. She recorded the shameful situation on her cell phone and posted it on Twitter on Sunday (Sept. 4).

“Hi friends and family, sadly my post is not one of celebration. This past Friday, my daughter’s Varsity Team [at] Paetow High School (Katy, TX) played against Jordan High School (Katy, TX), and [they] were heckled and harassed with the student section making monkey sounds [toward] our Black and brown daughters,” LaKeesha Adams tweeted. In the video, the noises can be heard loud and clear throughout the gym.

Adams mentioned the students of color “were distraught and devastated to have to endure such hatred.” She added that although school officials were notified, they allegedly did nothing to stop the racist behavior. Adams said after no actions were taken by school officials, she “emailed formal complaints to the school AD and they have opened an investigation.”..........

I wonder if this will turn in the the BYU racism claim last week. I bet it does and I also bet that it won't be followed up.

So it didn't happen or it did happen. Are you saying it didn't and was made up?

LOL. I am going to hold you to you saying segregation is wrong because we all know that you will say it is fine in certain situations if you told that it is.

You’re wrong yet again. I will never say that segregation is okay. Your latest idea that I don’t think for myself is just flat wrong, and shows you don’t know me very well.

We have no way of knowing what actually happened in your supposed situation. The shirt sources you posted didn’t care to do anything except stir the pot. The one quote from someone who knows the situation says there’s no rule for segregation in these co-ops.

My best guess is that some college kids were letting their feelings about racism out and got a bit carried away with proposing some sort of informal rules for their co-op. And of course, dishonest people from the far right were quite willing to sensationalize it - “look at how horrible these black kids are! It’s really white people who are discriminated against”

And people of weak minds or suffering from confirmation bias buy that crap.

Be honest, would you feel the same way if it was some informal rules that stated the white people didn't feel safe around all other people but white? If you say you would feel the same, you are a liar.

Do you not find it odd that every time I post something that you say is not happening, and you use the fact that your media sources are not covering it and mine are, and then it turns out to be actually happening? Would that not be confirmation bias?

You haven’t proven this is even happening at all so I have no clue what you are even going on about.

You do, but you are deflecting as usual.
