I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

Instead of deciding if a 'blurred line' is bad or just imprecise, why not push the items you'd like to see happen?
I can do both. Surely you remember the ad nauseam Trump Tracker discussion of everything he said, what he really meant, what he was thinking, what was rumored he said privately, etc?

So petty payback, SFL? You do realize we weren’t doing it to annoy you right, lol?

I'm not seeing anything outside of the 'gotcha' value re: the blurring of the $2,000 for political gain. Yeah... there was a Trump Tracker because the man was unhinged and a danger to this country. And the sad thing is the vast majority of lies Trump told were usually only to inflate/protect his ego which underscores his narcissism and why he attempted a coup. If Biden starts displaying those personality traits then I'm sure we can start a thread.

Re: Dave Ramsey. It's amazing how someone can make millions giving such prescient advice like: don't go into debt.

I chuckle because I remember the first time I ever heard him speak on WWL overnight many, many years ago (I might've been drunk so don't @ me for listening). But as I listened and it went through a break, which was basically a commercial for his crap, I clearlly blurted out "What a forking con!!!:

Not gonna lie, my wife listens and follows religiously and we now have 4 months combined salary in savings, no credit card debt, established college funds for both our kids and 5 years left on our house payments. I'm not a fan of his but his system worked for us. I won't go on his show and scream though.

I mean, even a lot of Republicans wanted him to shut up on twitter. It was clearly a problem to see someone that unhinged, publicly, and in office.

Look at Biden's twitter in comparison. Down Right boring and what we'd expect from our leadership.

Yeah, my wife and I went through his seminar and some of what he teaches is actually very useful. It's worked for a lot of people.

That said, what he's teaching isn't some sort of huge revelation. It's just mostly good financial practices distilled into easy to understand soundbites. He's good at what he does, but his politics has basically been to agree with whatever the right believes at any point in time.

I agree and my wife and I have gone back and forth about him. She thinks he's a hypocrite politically but she still listens to his financial advice. It was hard for her during the Obama years. I'd argue, "if you know and see he's a hypocrite why believe anything else he says?" She'd counter with "check our accounts". I'm nowhere near being well off but it's a lot easier just trying to figure out whether to make double payments on the house note this month or just put the extra into savings.

On another topic, I can't believe how much I was spending in gas and lunch every month. I checked my personal account and couldn't believe how much I had saved from working from home since last March.
