I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

They are transitioning to "we can't let the public possibly give Biden any credit for the vaccine roll out" so, watch them go from putting all of their eggs in the vaccine basket to vaccines shouldn't be mandatory, but we have to open the economy.

republicans are the new "do nothing" party.

    New? That's not new, lol.

ICYMI, here's trump's favorite Stupid Governor, Ron DeSantis, hard at work keeping his supporters ill informed:

Porter making clear what McConnell is up to, and it isn’t helping ordinary people.

MANCHIN was just on Cuomo show and it's not only the lawsuit issue but also unemployment.

They Rs want to give 600 one time and delete the 300 /wk provision as well. Oh and also wants the money for those employed lol (if ur unemployed or lost ur business, too bad)

Manchin said on law suits, he agrees to a point. If a company isn't following protection guidelines, then they should be accountable. But a company or business does, they should ve afforded protection.

These guys have no scruples. At all. No moral compass. They truly don't care about anything unless it advances themselves.

It's safe to say that most people in this college football thread never took a college history class considering no one seems to actually realize there was a plague in 1918 as well.

I clicked. The first thing I saw was your reply. lol

(In a shock to no one)

    • Mellissa Carone, who sat next to Rudy Giuliani during a hearing for his election fraud lawsuit in Michigan last week, has told The Washington Post that she doesn't intend to quarantine in light of Giuliani's COVID-19 diagnosis.
    • Carone, a freelancer who worked for Dominion Voting Services as a low-level technician during the election, told the paper that she would "take it seriously if it came from Trump."
    • She added that she would only get tested for COVID-19 if a Trump-friendly news network like One America News Network or Newsmax recommended it, adding: "I don't trust the tests."
