I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

Stress weakens the immune system. Everyone in that rally was probably under a lot of stress. Some of those people are probably going to get very sick. I hope not same as you, but there was probably a long exposure event which usually leads to a higher viral load.

It's nothing to laugh about much the same way I'm sure you don't or wouldn't laugh at someone playing russian roulette and losing. You just sit there and shake your head in disbelief wondering what is going through their head. When the game is over and they have lost, you marvel at how a seemingly intelligent individual could be so callous to challenge a possible life or death situation. When you do things this callous, you end up doing them because you are seeking the desired outcome. Either that are they are just galactically stupid.
