Assassination attempt on Trump (4 Viewers)

There are reasons why there is no exact timeline and it keeps shifting on when the Secret Service/law enforcement officer first flagged the shooter Thomas Crooks, his movements and the response before he fired off shots at Trump and the crowd.

My Secret Sources are telling me that the White House Communications Agency that (WHCA) whitehousecommsagency.mil is in charge of operating these communications systems and doesn't record all radio traffic for a former president of the United States, but they do for sitting presidents and vice presidents, according to two sources in the Secret Service community.
"A recording of the radio traffic would be of great value" to show the EXACT TIMELINE of when they first flagged the shooter on the radio, how they tracked him, and why they didn't or couldn't follow him up to the roof, " a source tells me.

Again -- why is the Secret Service using out-moded protocols for Trump that are obviously not threat-based?

So there are so many layers of Secret Service resource allocation for the rally where Trump was nearly killed that were not threat-based but based instead on old protocols giving priority to sitting presidents and vice presidents and lesser priority to former presidents.

But Donald Trump with his rallies attended by 50,000 people, should have broke that mold. It's nonsensical to use the same outdated model for former presidents, whose profiles all have declined after they left office, for Trump.

This may sound like common sense, but apparently, it needs to be said and implemented at the agency:

“During situations where a given area of the country has a concentration of visits and events, a threat-based distribution of manpower should have been employed.," a source within the Secret Service community tells me. "Those protectees or events that have the highest threat profile should receive the largest degree of manpower.”

Per source, Secret Service did not request any tactical support from HSI (Homeland Security Investigations) beforehand, including the HSI elite Special Response team. HSI agents were assigned to “post standing” security duties at the street entrance and the media area, and were not responsible for the close proximity around Trump, or the buildings on the exterior of the area where the shooter was.

The entire operational security plan was created and carried out by Secret Service, which told HSI and local law enforcement where they needed bodies, and was responsible for the advance planning.

Per source, allegations that HSI agents were untrained or unprepared to provide security at this event are way off base - adding that HSI are highly trained federal law enforcement who routinely run complex investigations, often at the border. Source added that HSI had roughly 400 agents providing security at the RNC in Milwaukee, and they know what threats to look for, adding that HSI agents working perimeter surveillance at the RNC were involved in spotting and arresting a suspicious man on Monday who approached the secure RNC area with a bag that had a AK47 pistol, a full magazine, and a Scream mask in it.

A lot of finger pointing going on as a result of the security failure on Saturday, which was centimeters away from resulting in the assassination of former President Trump, live on national television.

Alright everyone. Posting tweets without adding context has become too much like posting meme's or pictures without context. I'm tired of dealing with the reported posts over it.

So, anytime you post a picture, a tweet, a you tube video, or media otherwise, add some context. That should eliminate any doubt concerning what can and cannot be posted without adding context.

BTW - Some of the reported posts show the political biases of the person reporting it, so bear that in mind... and what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

I found a pretty good, well-balanced article about Trump’s injuries, which mentions the lack of transparency as well. Worth the read, IMO.

These are all good reasons for transparency from Trump’s medical team. And assurances that they are following up on delayed effects from the shooting.

Wow. That is hysterical. “They” milked Jan 6 for 3 years. Hmmm. So, the attempted overthrow of the government by a primarily white, aggrieved bunch of imbeciles should have just been swept under the carpet? And nobody I know is saying that the assassination attempt should be ignored. It is being and will continue to be investigated. Trump is physically fine. Mentally he never has been fine but that is something else.

So, it appears from the tweet that Joel Berry, whoever the flock he is, wants to milk the assassination attempt for, what, 3 years at least? Sorry, those are apples and bowling balls.

-- Does the Secret Service have a policy of not using drones at these types of events even though, I'm told, they've had at least a pilot drone program in the past.

The use of drones has been a point of contention within the agency dating back to at least 2016, according sources in the law enforcement community.

Many Secret Service officials have pushed to implement the drones, but the director, Joe Clancy, and other officials at the time rejected the widespread use of drones.

"They have access to all the best imagery and elevation data ahead of anything," the source said. "Even tethered drones would have helped."

And even if it's not within the Secret Service, "the agency could enlist Customs & Border Patrol, Air & Marine Operations or FBI, which are more familiar with those tools," a law enforcement source told me.

And, if it's a law enforcement "title issue," i.e. a legal issue, the Secret Service could enlist Title 10 capabilities, which they can do at a National Special Security Event (NSSE), a legal term for a designated event of significant political, economic, social or religious importance. That could also enlist Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to come support.

It's eerie how close he got with the detail of the ear.

Simple answer: because you don’t release details until you have interviewed everyone principally involved in the situation. You want to collect facts as much as you can free from the effect of seeding those involved with what investigators think they know, but may find out later to be false.

This is just so simple.
