A couple of days ago, one of the main US-MX border points of entry was blocked by 1000's of migrants demanding entry into the country, which caused chaos for those who lawfully cross the border on business, for work, or for delivery of goods, both ways.

Lawful border crossings are getting progressively worse across the border, and drug cartels are finding it easier to move product, as the CBP has to transfer personnel and efforts to the processing of migrants.

It's not different on MX's South border. Yesterday, ~5000 migrants stormed into Chiapas all the way to the INM building (INM is immigration) running over fences, barricades, and elements of the National Guard. They are now taking over an ecological park in Tapachula, Chiapas, which it's going to be severely affected, as it's been the case with just about everywhere migrants squat.

Unfortunately, Juan Trump (that's Donald Trump's pet name for the President of México) was bamboozled by his "friend" Donald into making MX a "lobby" for migrants trying to reach the U.S.

Many people would argue that migrants are "good for the economy", but that is not always the case. Billions of dollars leave the U.S. economy every year, because migrants send money from the U.S. to other countries to support families there. The biggest destinations are India and MX, to the tune of 100 billion dollars in 2023 alone, according to the Bank of México (kind of like the MX version of the Fed). These billions of dollars do not circulate in the U.S. economy.

Speaking of inflation, the past year, the U.S. dollar has lost ~20% of its value against the MX peso. One of the main reasons for it, is the amount of money being sent to MX from the U.S. And MX is the U.S. 2nd largest trading partner.

Gregg Abbott is a lot of things, but I don't blame him for his attempts at curbing the hordes of people demanding entry into the U.S., even the busing of migrants to other States, making some put their money where their mouth is, like the Mayor of NYC, who was so welcoming of migrants, until he he got a taste, then went crying to the federal government for more money, while the shelters were at full capacity; shelters which BTW serve the NYC poor as well.

And please, no one mention a wall. There is a wall. A wall can be climbed; a wall can be dug under.; holes can be punched through walls.

What duty is Trump dereliction exactly? He is a private citizen, as per his trials. Why doesn't Biden just close the border?

I was told Kamala was going to fix all of this a few years ago. Are we surprised it got worse with her in charge of this?
if the president can close the border, why didn't Trump? He pretended to build a wall, but why didn't he just straight up close the border?

Come on Jim. Do you think we are talking about literally closing the border so nobody comes across?

What we mean is controling the flow of all the people coming into the country now. All the executive order that Trump had used for Immigration Biden got rid of immediately.

Republicans are the reason why we have a surge of people coming to the border? That's hilarious

First, Biden has actually issued more executive orders pertaining to controlling the border than Trump did.
Second, Biden did say that asylum seekers would be heard - that's the actual law. It's been Republicans who have been advertising this as an open border.

Basically, my opinion is that Republicans have been using this purely as a political issue with no actual concern for the actual issue, and their sudden reversal on supporting this type of bill confirms it. This is another example of how politics ruins everything - the Democrats actually did start going more to the "left" on this issue after Donald Trump made it his central theme in 2016, but in the past year as their poll numbers started looking terrible on this issue have moderated back closer to their original position (I think this latest bill is actually to the "right" of their position pre-2016).

Biden wants the border open for the votes for whenever they eventually get amnesty passed.

This is forking absurd. Do you spend even a few seconds thinking about what you post?

It's your actual suggestion that Biden, who can only run for president one more time, wants to keep the border open so that he can allow in enough illegal immigration to get enough votes by November to do what, exactly?

Three of the four border states already voted for Biden in 2020. You think he's going to allow enough illegal immigration in the next 9 months to flip Texas, a state that he doesn't need to win? You think the first thing all of those immigrants are doing is attempting to vote illegally, specifically in Texas, so they can just get deported right back?

    What a forking stupid argument.

See: abortion. Rs don’t actually have policies anymore. it’s all just a power grab, and they obviously don’t care about most of the people in this country.

Once someone espouses replacement theory you should stop trying to debate them. It's clear at that point what their actual angle is on this.

The previous high before 2021 was in 2019, when Trump's EOs were in place. The only thing that has happened now is all the people who didn't come during Covid are coming now and people have figured out the value in exploiting our broken asylum system.

This can't be handled with EO's and it shouldn't. Congress is the legislative branch and the problem is our laws, especially asylum laws, are ridiculous.

A self-touted militia sniper was arrested by the FBI and accused of trying to sell an undercover agent an unregistered suppressor for an AK-47.

But there's more — the FBI says Paul Faye Sr. owned multiple weapons and explosives and was planning to launch a violent attack on people at the southern border.

Faye was charged with the possession of an unregistered silencer under the National Firearms Act, per a criminal complaint filed on February 2.

According to the criminal complaint, an undercover FBI agent contacted Faye via TikTok, after which the pair exchanged phone numbers.

Faye subsequently told three undercover agents during a meeting in April that he believed the federal government was intentionally letting in illegal immigrants because it would benefit the authorities, per the document.

When one of the agents met Faye in December, Faye said he was coordinating with militia groups from Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Faye then told the agent that he planned to transport explosives to the border, adding that he wanted to "stir up the hornet's nest" and trigger a "domino effect."

"I'll be the first one on the scene, and the last one to leave," Faye said during the meeting, adding that he would act as a sniper at the border.

"I would be on top that roof right there, zeroing out, taking out anybody," Faye told the agent, per the complaint.

In January, two undercover agents visited Faye's home, where Faye showcased his arsenal of weaponry. According to the criminal complaint, Faye's "war room" was equipped with numerous firearms, including a Creedmoor rifle, several AR-15 rifles, and a shotgun.............

A "Creedmoor"? The 6.5 Creedmoor is a cartridge. It can be fired from a bolt-action, an AR, a lever-action...I hate it when reporters don't do any research.

What is it you don’t think they researched? They said the criminal complaint says that his war room contained a creedmore rifle.

Page 7 of the complaint says “…his “war room” which consisted of numerous firearms, a large amount of ammunition, radios, and a bullet proof vest. FAYE invited the UCEs to hold numerous firearms to include a Creedmoor rifle…”

So, the reporters statement was 100% accurate.

A bolt-action Creedmoor, an AR semiautomatic Creedmoor? It's just unnecessarily confusing to specify the chambering of one rifle (but not the style) then state the style (AR) but not the caliber of the other two.
It's like saying a car enthusiast has a V8 and two Fords.

amazing Russia just happens to love the same things trump does.

Russia, and Putin in particular, is desperate to support and nurture anything that is destabilizing to the US. You saw that during the BLM riots when they tried to infiltrate and push false narratives in BLM groups to incite greater anger and violence. The same during the 2016 elections when they supported efforts to go after Hillary with conspiracies from both Trump and some far left groups.

But Trump is the biggest internal destabilizing force for the US in our history, sans the civil war. So Putin especially loves Trump. He will support any division in American society that Trump is pushing. The idiotic efforts of people like Abbot are more than welcomed as well.

No. It would be like reading a book that said a car enthusiast has a V8 and two Fords; and then writing a book report and stating that the book said the they had a V8 and two Fords.

I’m not discussing the particulars of guns and ammo. I’m simply pointing out that you can’t fault the reporter for not researching. The reporter simply reported on something that is in the criminal complaint. If you want to fault the legal team that wrote the complaint, that’s fine. It’s also possible that the individual did not have a lot of knowledge and referred to the firearm as a Creedemore rifle, so the complaint simply used the terminology that he used to them.

I don’t think he “loves Trump.” I think he simply loves how easily Trump and his supporters can be manipulated into creating division.

I think he already gave up on producing his content on X.

It lasted for a couple of weeks i think before he realized there was no money in it.

I'm sure there will be clips on X though.

    I've always respected Murkowski...

It’s beyond obvious and only party shills think otherwise.

Apparently the border wasn't as much of a problem for republicans as they have let on for the last several years.

The republicans only care about the border as much as they can use it as a weapon against democrats.
