I am more intrigued by how nobody wants to talk about this. It’s not like it was only Fox or the Onion asking these questions.
If you didn't rely on just these tweets, you'd see that it is in fact being talked about here and everywhere.

People not talking about it the way you think they should talk about ≠ "nobody wants to talk about this."

What do you want to talk about?

There is an alleged quote that somebody said they saw that they say was a WhatsApp message from Hunter to some Chinese businessman. They don’t have the actual message, but they mocked up a display to make it look like they did, and they did it so badly it’s obviously not real.

The actual quote has no date, and no names are mentioned. How did this person get a look at a WhatsApp message? And only this one-a vague message that doesn’t mean anything?

The message says that the person is mad that this businessman isn’t doing what he promised. He says he’s waiting for confirmation that this guy is going to keep his word. He says his dad is sitting beside him, and his dad knows a lot of people and this guy holds a grudge and they will tell everyone that this guy didn’t keep his word.

    What about this is criminal?
So the press is just asking about some rando’s WhatsApp message? Seems plausible. They should have just said what you said.
As for unhinged comments - I read that tweet you posted and the comments on his timeline. Almost all crypto bros and almost all BIG mad and saying things like - he needs to be impeached or in prison or executed for treason. The guy who says he saw this message said it was from either 2017 or 2018 when Biden was actually a private citizen.

What is the crime here? What does this message, that doesn’t even mention any names, prove?
I read too much into the tweet (other than the video). I could replace it with a video from CNN discussing the issue.

I only wonder (if this is true), was this a father helping a crackhead son, or a President getting tangled up in Buddy Beer.

I don’t think I ever said that, I said it was interesting how “nobody wants to talk about this”, as in the people in the posted videos.

Rugg is a real doozy. The “state” media, lol, another stupid conspiracy theorist. 🤦‍♀️

Also, let’s say the message is truly from Hunter to a Chinese business man. We don’t know that Joe was actually sitting there or knew anything about it. Hunter was known to be using the idea of being Joe‘s son to get business deals. It’s cruddy but not illegal.

And like I said in the other thread - the only threat issued to the Chinese guy is that if he doesn’t keep his word, my dad knows a lot of people, and I hold a grudge, and we will tell everyone that you didn’t keep your word. Most criminals wouldn’t broadcast a bribe gone wrong, would they? It makes no sense.

I wonder if they can’t comment as there may be more in store that can’t be disclosed at this time.

How can what Hunter did in 2017-2018 have any bearing on the Biden presidency?

You want there to be a scandal about Joe Biden so bad you can taste it. Lol.

I hope that this nation doesn’t go through another embarrassment like what Trump put us through, but I also would like to know what the Press is getting at that this administration doesn’t want to discuss.

I appreciate the clarification. I misinterpreted your post.

The White House is not going to talk about this, because if it's completely false they're not going to give it credence and if it's true they're not going to talk about it.

This is how twitter hurts the world. Why keep quoting misleading tweets from a platform that you think the world would be better off without?

It's like saying "asbestos is bad for everyone" while blowing asbestos dust on people. It makes no logical or rational sense.

Here is a free WaPo link. I have yet to read it, but the author says this recent allegation isn’t new.

And yet, the GOP has manage to convince their followers that this period of inflation is a uniquely American problem cause by evil Democrats.

It needs to hold for him through November 2024 but this stuff, along with falling inflation rates, are very good signs for Biden's chances at reelection (both of these are from today):

President Joe Biden’s bid to tout the success of “Bidenomics” got a lift on Thursday when the government reported the economy grew 2 percent in the first quarter, a jump from previous estimates.

“This is going to be a tailwind for the economy. This is the stuff that’s going to increase productivity and bring down inflation,” said Joe Brusuelas, chief economist at the accounting firm RSM. It “reflects the underlying resilience of the overall economy and the rock-solid foundation of U.S. households.”

The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits fell last week by the most in 20 months, offering an upbeat picture of the labor market that could see the Federal Reserve continuing to raise interest rates to cool demand.

The unexpected decline in applications reported by the Labor Department on Thursday reversed a recent jump, which had left initial jobless claims over the prior three weeks hovering at levels last seen in October 2021.

Also here's the inflation rate since August 2022 when the Inflation Reduction Act was passed:

Whether it really had much of anything to do with the inflation rate dropping or not doesn't really matter politically.. Biden will be touting the shirt out of this.

And this here has probably been the single biggest albatross for Biden and why the stronger than expected US economy is not registering with some people:

Real wages since Biden took office through the first quarter of 2023:

If real wages sustain an upward trend it'll start showing in the polls imo.

Yeah, it’s a calculated gamble to put his name out there on the economy. But overall things are looking up. In my area gas prices just dropped again as well.

And yet, the GOP has manage to convince their followers that this period of inflation is a uniquely American problem cause by evil Democrats.

Most of the people that vote based on economics are voting to some degree on how they feel about the economy, just like most of most the time on most issues.

That's why the fear based approach works. If you can get voters to be afraid of what will happen to them economically if the other party gets in power, then you can get voters to over look the facts and to vote mostly from fear.

I think that's why Biden has embraced the buzz word "Bidenomics" and is promoting it as the exact opposite of trickle-down "Reaganomics."

The vast majority of voters are more than done with trickle-down economics, because they can no longer be fooled into ignoring how disastrous it has been for them. "Reaganomics" has only been good for the upper 10%.

Biden has explained that his economic approach is to get more money into the hands of the middle class and below, even if it comes at the expense of the upper class. If he can get people to believe him, the realities of his plan and the economic situation on voting day want matter as much to voters as the mere promise of more economic fairness and equality.

If Biden gets that buy in from voters, then he'll probably comfortably win the election. Watch for the Democracts in Congress to start pushing legislation that raises taxes on the wealthy, increases financial relief and opportunities for the middle class and below, and looks to breakup and rein in the dominance of industries by conglomerated, multinational corporations.

If the Democrats do with class warfare what Republicans have been doing with cultural warfare, then they will sway a lot more voters their way than Republicans.

The majority of voters have shown their feelings on culture are trumped by their feelings on the economy and their feelings on equal rights. Whoever wins voters over on equal rights and the economy is going to win their elections next year.

Unfortunately, we're going to see an increase in divisiveness and polarization in the next election.
