I don’t blame Biden voters who have voters remorse. He is a modern Jimmy Carter (without a Peanut farm).

He is a nice guy (or so he seams on the surface), but the party (not the voters) pushed the wrong guy
With the given choice I have zero remorse.

I would disagree with those that want to blame him for the ills facing the nation. He came into office a year into a global pandemic that has reshaped the economy globally and locally, and now he’s facing the fallout of the swing in the Supreme Court, which isn’t really anything he can do anything about (unless someone can find a time machine to tell all the Jill Stein voters in 2016 what their protest vote was going to get them).

Those aren't problems he caused, but I will agree that the challenges seem beyond Biden’s skills as a politician to navigate and he has not and is not rising to meet the moment. But I'd still take him over Trump every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

With a Trump reelection we'd still be seeing all the things that are pissing people off (gas prices, inflation, etc.), with the difference being more of Trumps corruption, daily lies, self-dealing, demogogary and divisiveness. I don't miss that one bit. His greatest accomplishment was inheriting the reins of the country in the midst of an upswing, and though there were obviously extenuating circumstances, in no way shape or form was the country better off at the end of his term than at the beginning.

I supported Biden because he wasn't Donald Trump. I would have voted for Kathy Griffin over Trump.

He still isn't Donald Trump, so i'm good.
He is showing signs of " you know what onset". I don't want to type the words here...but you can probably read my mind. Not that Biden is there yet, but it SEEMS like it MIGHT be around the corner for him
I'm not a doctor but I had a father suffer thru that and then die of that. I have some experience (unpleasant)
So, since Biden is the President of the United States...and not my dad..."I'm NOT good" Biden's job is too important.

Said the Trump voter who doesn’t support Trump.
Exactly. I voted for Trump because he wasn't H. Clinton....yet 6 or 7 months ago I turned on him
I know from experience what you Democrats are feeling. You voted for Biden but now it might be time to abandon him. Don't feel guilty.

    Just 6 or 7 months ago? 🧐

What happened in January of 2022 that finally changed your mind?

At this point, I would vote for him over ANY Republican. They have shown to me over and over that they have ZERO integrity! For those Republicans that can muster any, they are just labeled "RINOs" and have no chance of winning a national election because their voters value candidates that lack integrity.

Have you ever read a transcript of a Trump speech?
Biden's opponent isn't just nearing the thing, he's wallowing in it like an incoherent manatee.

I guess you were not reading my posts back then.
Short version, I never liked Trump.
In the primaries leading up to his eventual nomination I was against him.
I completely turned against him when he said positive things about Putin.
But again....I never ever liked him.
His personality. His smug expression. His tweets.
Not much to like about Trump prior in Jan. 2022.

I think what people are marveling about is that Jan. 6 didn’t do it.

As I stated somewhere in the past.
Annoying Donald Trump has successfully marketed "RINOs"
He and his people are the RINOs.
True Republicans should be anti Trump.

I would vote for Romney or Cheney, but it would have to be a bad democratic candidate.

I'm still good if the other option was Trump. If they want to have him step down and let Kamala take over, i'd be ok with that.

I wish Mayor Pete had been the nominee in 2020.

    But they are not!

As far as I can tell, there are only 2 of 213 Republicans in the House and 1, maybe 2, in the Senate. That being said, being anti-Trump is the lowest of bars and yet "true Republicans" can barely mange that! The rest all support anti-democratic positions because they know that if they would allow democracy to actually work, they would be voted out of office. For example, in Louisiana, there are more registered democrats than republicans and yet those democrats have significantly less representation at both the state and national level than the republican voter and that is by design.

I would vote for Romney or Cheney, but it would have to be a bad democratic candidate.
If we were still living in a time before Gingrich/McConnel I could vote for them as well, but we don't. The only thing that the Republican party learned from Nixon's fall is that they didn't go far enough, Newt set out remedy that mistake and McConnel took the baton when they lost in '08.

I have no idea why anyone holds this opinion. He was arguably as unqualified as Trump in 2016. I'm very unconvinced a neoliberal would win vs any anti-establishment conservative. Obama, and Trump should have proven that unexperienced executives are largely inert in their first 100 days, and make massive mistakes.

Pete has always come across as a Republican who knows he can't get elected in his actual party because he is gay.

I don’t think experience and qualifications are the same thing.

Obama was an excellent president, so we clearly don’t see the office in the same way.

You know you're right. I should have used inexperienced. The only qualification is to be a natural citizen, lived in the country for 14 years, and be at least 35. I'm not sure what conversation you can have about that though.

You think Obama got a lot done in the first 100 days?
