I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

    More on the ppp

There was rampant fraud. I've read somewhere of only about 25% of the stimulus went to people who needed it the most. A lot of money diverted from public schools and went religious private schools. The military got a few billion and spent it on weapons and uniforms, all kinds of stupid shirt. I don't have numbers, and probably nobody will be able to unravel the amount of waste that the gov't gave out.

Is he the one who has his mask on under his nose? No wonder he’s infected. 🙄

I'll have to post this on SR later, I can't get on there from here.

    More on the ppp

I'm not reading another one of these articles but do have a comment on the majority I read in the past. The PPP was intended for small businesses and corporations like Cheesecake Factory got $50,000,000. What did they do the second they could? Laid off a lot of their workers. What did they do next? Closed a bunch of their restaurants across the globe for good. All while getting to pocket the $50,000,000.

They never needed the PPP money to begin with.

If they filed for bankruptcy, maybe they needed the money? I dunno, I'm just asking.

I know first hand how easy it is for small business owners to legally direct PPP funds through their businesses to themselves personally and not trickle any of it to their employees.

I don’t want any of Biden’s people to step foot in there until the whole White House is fumigated. Jeez, they are so reckless.

My hospital’s Covid census is higher than it has ever been, much higher, almost double what it was during what we thought was our peak last April.
