You know that the media and Democrats still lie about what he actually said about Charlottesville right? He specifically denounced the white supremacists and said he was talking about the people protesting the statue removal for the good people on both sides.
That has absolutely nothing to do with my answer to your question. Please stay on topic, especially when it's your own topic.

If the point you wanted to make was the point above, then say that directly in the future.

I don't agree that the media lied. Trump didn't make the qualifiers to his original statement. He only made those qualifies after he took heat for saying what he originally said.

But none of that past history has anything to do with what Trump did and didn't say tonight.

Tonight, he very clearly refused to denounce white supremacists. He also clearly refused to tell his supporters to stop counter protesting and escalating BLM protests to the point of violence. Instead he said "stand back and stand by" and followed that by saying something had to be done about antifa and the "left wing" because there is no "right wing" problem.

Ask the military people here what the difference is between "stand down" and "stand by."

    I'll give you that one.

but Wallace lobbed him a soft ball to re-denounce them and he whiffed.

Which is strange because Trump does enough dog whistling to white supremacists on his own that no distortion is required. I agree Democrats do a disservice every time they gin up one thing Trump says because most of the rest of what he says speaks for itself. Who tells a crowd -- outside of Nuremberg circa 1940 -- they have 'good genes?'
Maybe someone who is trying to get votes?

CNN had Harris on and asked her about packing the court, and like Biden tonight, she didn’t answer either.

Me thinks they don’t plan on packing the court, nor will they address it because they don’t want to lose votes.
Biden has flat out said it before. He's just taking an odd tactic to try to not give Trump the talking point...

I think this moment will resonate with people, and it went by so fast with Trump doing his word vomit thing.

sadly I truly think thatRepublicans are more scared of the Democrats going AOC left than they are about Trump. The reason the Dems couldn’t be Trump in 16 and will struggle now is because like Trump won’t condemn racism the Dems won’t condemn socialism. That’s a big fear for many whether it’s true or not. It’s real easy to say hey look, I love America, I believe in the constitution and our republic, I’m not looking to change the constitution or our way of life, I’m looking to get us back on track somewhere in the middle of left and right where 90% of Americans fall. Yes they would lose the extremes of their party but they’d pick up more in the middle and independents

Just to make sure everyone is operating from a factual standpoint, Democrats make up a majority of voters and the US population. Disproportionate representation of individual voters in the distribution of both the House and Senate seats is the only reason Republicans ever make up a majority in Congress.

It's a myth that Republicans/conservatives makeup half the country. They are a minority and they are a ever shrinking minority. Trump has actually accelerated their shrinking. The reason his percentage of support has grown in the Republic party is that a lot of the Republicans that can't stand Trump have left the Republican party. The actual number of people supporting Trump has been steadily decreasing since he took office.

And he didn’t mean what he said when he told the Proud Boys to stand down, stand by...
