I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

I'm really thinking he might be positive. Even the more reliable test (compared to the rapid test) takes about an hour or so to get results. They have to know by now.

Under CDC guidelines (I know they don't listen to them), the minimum quarantine period is ten days. After that, we no symptoms, you can leave out.

They probably used both after the results of the rapid. To verify.

Kaitlyn Collins on CNN is wrong. The more reliable test doesn't take 6 hours. That's based on my knowledge working in healthcare administration as well as the fact that my girlfriend just took the PCR test two hours before surgery last week.

They knew yesterday from how I'm hearing this story. She started experiencing symptoms yesterday at that rally and they quarantined her on AF1 on its return to Washington.

Well since voting has already started in some states.. are you saying that Trump- if hypothetically was on a respirator (even though Pence would have Presdential powers for a few months) or, gawd forbid- if Trump were dead- he’d still be on the ballot??

Yeah they had a Dr on saying 2-6 hrs. But that PCR for POTUS closer to 2.

They got that rapid result and said OK PCR. To verify.

Even though i detest the guy and would love to see him lose the election and thrown in the pen for the rest of his life, I do hope that either he tests negative, or if he has it just a good case to make him feel miserable for a couple weeks.

Which can very well be the case, but could also not be the case. It takes time for a positive result to pop up. If Hope started showing symptoms last night, that means she was infected as early as Sunday or Monday. Which means he could've gotten exposed around that time as well.

I think median time to symptoms is still like 3- 5 days, and the curve stays elevated to 10 days before it really goes flat down to almost zero by day 12-14.

Or even further back since symptoms don't show for 2-10 days and 5 on average.

Crazy but seemed inevitable. They just bucked the whole mask wearing and fell into false sense with the testing

We should be clear that just speculating about whether the president has Covid is not the same as wishing he has Covid. It’s a matter of utmost national interest and it’s normal and reasonable to be engaged in that discussion.
