This election nonsense by Trump may end up splitting up the Republican Party. I just don’t see how the one third (?) who are principled conservatives can stay in the same party with Trump sycophants who are willing to sign onto the TX Supreme Court case.

We also saw the alt right types chanting “destroy the GOP” in Washington today because they didn’t keep Trump in power. I think the Q types will also hold the same ill will toward the traditional Republican Party. In fact its quite possible that all the voters who are really in a Trump personality cult will also blame the GOP for his loss. It’s only a matter of time IMO before Trump himself gets around to blaming the GOP.

There is some discussion of this on Twitter. What do you all think?

Well we know what genre of pron she likes to view.

I find it FASCINATING that the conservative, old guard Rs have embraced the likes of Kanye, Candace and Walker, when 10 years ago, they would have been shunned.

How crazy would it be if these ( and other influential African Americans ) are actually infiltrating the R party, with something else in mind in the long game?
I make fun of people on Facebook all the time over this.
A black person says something against what most black people believe and its "LOOK, THIS PERSON REALLY KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKNG ABOUT. THEY ARE BLACK AND CAN SEE WHATS REALLY GOING ON IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY, WE SHOULD BELIEVE THEM."
But for some reason, if a white person says something against the white community "THEY ARE JUST IDIOTS AND NO ONE SHOULD LISTEN TO THEM"

Poll after poll shows that Americans trust Republicans more than Democrats on economic issues. This is probably unsurprising: Democrats control both Congress and the White House, and the country is experiencing its worst bout of inflation in four decades. Stocks have tumbled. Mortgage rates have spiked. Recession risks have undoubtedly risen.

Of course voters will express displeasure with the party they perceive to be steering the economy.

But it’s unclear why they assume Republicans would do any better.

I have asked this question forever and never gotten a salient answer. Why do so many Democrats, Moderates, Independents, people in the middle, whatever you want to call them, in this country assume/believe that Republicans and their policies (or lack there of) are better for the economy? What proof exist of that anywhere? It's like people in this country go back to feeding in the same mindless trough just so they don't have to think about or evaluate reality.

The corporations who run the media and set forth the narrative love them some handouts and low taxes.

It's tragic how everyone but the DNC can see it.
From the rambling plea for data infrastructure, of all things, to using Nancy "CHA is my dump stat" Pelosi as a pitchwoman.
Jeebus Christ, you guys. Are there NO salesmen among you?
Barack Obama acknowledged Democrats can be “a buzzkill” with their abstract campaign messaging and could better connect with voters by emphasizing what constituents feel in their day to day lives.

During an interview on Pod Save America, released Friday, Obama acknowledged that he “used to get into trouble” when he appeared too professorial, including by standing behind a lectern and talking about policy in theoretical ways that didn’t directly connect with voters……..

Posted this in gun control thread also but felt Clinton’s quote needed to be here too.

    Hadn’t heard this line before

“When people are feeling insecure,” former president Bill Clinton said as he explained his party’s loss in the 2002 midterm elections, “they’d rather have someone who is strong and wrong rather than somebody who is weak and right.”

“Strong and wrong” is right in the Republican wheelhouse, which is why they’ve enthusiastically elevated crime in this year’s elections…….
