Thought we should start thread here - over weekend, US carried out strikes against Houthi elements in Yemen in retaliation for their actions in Red Sea.

So any missile/shot fired from Houthi elements in Yemen will be considered coming from Iran. Obviously this is wrought with problems, but we know Houthis will respond and continue attacks.

So then what does this mean for Iran? Lots to unpack, but seems to me that the NO WAR POTUS is hell bent on getting into yet ANOTHER conflict in the ME. He is backing himself into a corner with statements and we could find ourselves embroiled in ME conflict again.

100 years ago people didn’t know what Hitler was going to do yet. Killing or kidnapping heads of state of other countries is pretty arrogant and, of course, lawless.

The US should be striving to encourage all nations to live by laws and maintain proper order in the world. There are lawful ways to deal with monsters. That should be encouraged - not some kind of vigilante justice where might makes right.

I didn’t actually expect you to understand this, though. However I firmly believe had Biden done this you would be condemning it right now.

No way he would condemn it if Biden had done it. Joe and I 100% would have been on here applauding the death of the Supreme Leader who has been responsible for so much terror and innocent deaths for so many years. I was certainly openly saying I was glad President Obama authorized the killing of Osama bin Laden.

I just came to the conculsion that since our Government volunteered the 3 KIA's, it was that number...times 10, plus many more casualties.

I would caution against using RT as a source you guys. Pure propaganda outlet. Of course a lot of what we are seeing is probably propaganda from both sides.

I don’t think you should speak for Joe. But this is certainly different than killing Bin Laden, although I wasn’t super keen on that one either.

This is entirely different. Bin Laden wasn’t a head of state, he was an outlaw in hiding who had been condemned by the UN as a terrorist. Killing a sitting head of state is a declaration of war.

There were better ways to handle this.

Different title. True. Yet both men seemingly had the same goal: Death to Israel. Death to America.....AND Both men WERE responsible for many many many deaths. No tears for either one.
