So any missile/shot fired from Houthi elements in Yemen will be considered coming from Iran. Obviously this is wrought with problems, but we know Houthis will respond and continue attacks.

So then what does this mean for Iran? Lots to unpack, but seems to me that the NO WAR POTUS is hell bent on getting into yet ANOTHER conflict in the ME. He is backing himself into a corner with statements and we could find ourselves embroiled in ME conflict again.

Iran has had the ability to close the strait of Hormuz for years. That is nothing new. The difference is they are flexing that muscle now because they don’t have many other cards to play. The difference is they aren’t flexing that muscle with an intact Army and Navy and Air Force and Nuclear Weapon.

I’m betting if you ask the Mullahs if they would rather have been attacked for the last four weeks or forgo the destruction of their military and administrative assets and roll back the clock, I’m betting they would take the do over.

I’m betting Trump would take that deal as well. This has been one of the biggest military bungles in my memory and that includes some doozies. We went in without any plan for the entirely predictable responses from Iran. We went in without clear goals and without an exit strategy. The human civilian consequences have been horrific, the US military losses have been tragic because they were totally unnecessary. We haven’t achieved regime change, we haven’t achieved any deal on their ability to build a nuclear weapon, we cannot open the Strait. The global economic consequences will be dire, quite possibly leading to a worldwide recession.

The problem is inequality and discrimination. I said that hours ago. Priviledge means somebody gets something other than what they are entitled to. The constitution in this country grants those rights to everyone regardless of race. That isn’t priviledge. I don’t know how to explain it any more plainly.

You are wrong. When those discriminations keep showing up across the spectrum of American life and the only race that doesn't have to deal with them are white people, then it is a privilege to be white in this society. It just is. It doesn't mean your life will be easy, but it will be easier than that of the minority who is in a similar situation to yours.

It's not surprising you can't acknowledge or accept this. Part of that white privilege is never having to put yourself in a minorities shoes to be able to see it so that you can deny it. You have to choose to do that to be able to see it, as many on here have.
