The football board had the very useful Daily Trump Tracker thread, which was a good place to briefly discuss the latest ridiculous thing that might have ended 97% of prior Presidential administrations even if it didn't necessarily justify an entire thread devoted to it in 2017-2019 (because of the sheer volume of these things). Since I don't see anything like that here already, I'll add one myself.

And, don't get me started on Trump's apparent inability to read. I don't mean he can't recognize words, I mean he may have a learning disorder, or some other kind of issue that makes it difficult for him to read the written word and comprehend it.

    Dyslexia

I would bet everything I have on it. I am so sure because I have it. Kids my generation slipped thru the cracks. I did until high school. Was classified as a big dumb kid for a very long time. I am sure his generation was worse.

Still deal with it daily. Spell check is a gift from God I tell ya.

It wasn't rhetorical. How do you rationalize disqualifying Candidate A for something you perceive, but refuse to disqualify Candidate B when shown the exact same thing for which you disqualified A?
Because that isn’t the only reason I won’t vote for Joe. There are many issues I’d have with voting for Joe. I have less of those with Donald.

That's not what you said, though.

I’m going to delve into that China part a bit, good food for thought.
The raw dogging a porn star does nothing to move the needle for me. I do think Trump is a perv, just not as bad a perv as Joe, which I also think Joe has full blown dementia. So I could not in good faith vote for Joe. I think all of them are crooked, but it’s always the lesser of evils for me.

You said you think Joe has dementia, which is enough to disqualify him as a candidate.

There are a plethora of reasons I won’t vote for Joe. One of them is my belief that Joe has a declining mental capacity, that’s not the only reason. I respect your right to believe differently than I do. All we can do is let our voices be heard come election time.

Oh and as I said previously Joe is by far my favorite of the Dem candidates this go round.

If Joe were your preferred candidate and you genuinely believed that he had dementia, would you vote for him?

It is time to ask once again, in all seriousness, whether the president of the United States is of sound mind.

Even by his own standards, President Trump’s weekend ranting and raving on Twitter was bizarre and disturbing.

I know there are commentators who see his eruptions as some kind of genius-level communications strategy, a way of bonding himself to his loyal base by sending messages at dog-whistle frequencies others cannot hear.

Others justify these tantrums as a way for an embattled president to blow off steam. But there is a simpler and more disturbing interpretation: What you see is what you get.

Joe may have a declining mental capacity, that happens naturally as we age.

Trump is mentally ill. And ultimately, he's always going to put his own perceived interests over those of the country. It's part of his mental illness.

So, I'd vote for a head of red cabbage over Trump, because at least a head of cabbage can't do harm. Trump can, and is, doing increasing harm to this country hourly and daily, due to his mental illness and inability to make the crisis we are going through about anything but himself.

So, I decided to post this here as Amash has the potential to steal some votes from Trump more than anything. He's not Ross Perot, but he definitely has his followers.

yet another spat between Trump and Fox News

Remains to be seen if this one ends up to be any bigger than any of the others

His base loves Trump, but they also love Fox News - Who will they pick if forced to choose?

I think they'd pick Trump especially if he starts saying how much better OANN is

And if that happens it will be interesting to see how Fox reacts to that
    ===============================================

Donald Trump’s longtime close relationship with Fox News, like so many other unions in the time of lockdown, is beginning to buckle under pressure, with an increasingly sensitive president furious at the conservative media channel.

Trump has attacked the conservative channel in recent days, accusing the usually uncritical network of being “fed Democratic talking points”, with some observers suggesting his ire may have been caused in part by a string of anti-Trump ads due to run on Fox News this week.

The breakdown between president and news channel was laid bare in a string of tweets from Trump on Sunday evening. Trump has occasionally criticized Fox News in recent months, but this attack went further, as Trump declared he wants “an alternative now”.

“[Fox News] just doesn’t get what’s happening! They are being fed Democrat talking points, and they play them without hesitation or research,” he tweeted...……...

To many, waving giant Trump flags in everyone's face is like shouting "fork you, yeah, you. Trump Trump Trump fork you, America." That is Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Has any president ever played the victim card as much as Trump does?
    =======================

After admitting US coronavirus deaths could hit 90,000, President Donald Trump is bemoaning his own plight -- complaining that he has been treated worse by the press than Abraham Lincoln.

Trump's comments, at the memorial in Washington to a president assassinated after emancipating the slaves during the Civil War, are likely to further polarize the raging politics of a current crisis that is stretching national unity.

"I am greeted with a hostile press the likes of which no president has ever seen," Trump said at the Fox News town hall Sunday night.

"The closest would be that gentleman right up there," Trump said, pointing to the 16th President's statue.

"They always said nobody got treated worse than Lincoln. I believe I am treated worse."..........

When exactly have I excused Trump?
And don’t worry, I will absolutely do me. I’ll have my own thoughts and am happy that others do that too. I’m not a bigot. 😊
    .
    Dood.

When you call Biden a pervert and pedophile and then intend to vote for Trump who is a liar, thief and, at best, a known serial philanderer, it's hard to consider you anything else. And, when you question Biden's mental faculties despite the fact that Trump stammers like an idiot, has a 5th grade vocabulary and looks like he's got tremors, it's funny.

Trump suffers from NPD and there is no dispute. His memory is shot. His ability to even form a coherent thought into words is on display every single time he speaks. Hell, the fact he's so detached from reality that he wears his hair, ties, baggy suits and fake tan the way he does is enough to make me think he's insane.

I think he’s a terrible speaker, and would not want to be around him. He’s petulant, tweets way too much, thin skinned etc. However, I do like many of his actions, policies.

As I’ve been chastised before for saying this tho, I believe he’s by far the lesser of the evils. In general I’m no fan of any high level politician. Another term I’ve used that has been mocked is elites. Which I believe they all are, and don’t really care about the common man.

I detest Hillary for a plethora of reasons, Biden has dementia imo and is a puppet to China, I also think he’s a pervert, and I don’t believe in socialism...so Bernie would have been out for me too, therefore I’m left with the Donald.
I can understand that you just want a Republican in office. Ok.

But, you're willfully ignoring real, observed issues, with what you think someone else "might" be. What have you seen that would even suggest Biden is a "puppet" to China?
