I guess it's time to start a thread for this. We know that at least 140 members of Congress have pledged to join the objection. Under federal law, if at least one member of each house (HOR and Senate) objects, each house will adjourn the joint session for their own session (limited at two hours) to take up the objection. If both houses pass a resolution objecting to the EC result, further action can take place. If both houses do not (i.e. if one or neither passes a resolution), the objection is powerless and the college result is certified.

Clearly this is political theater as we know such a resolution will not pass the House, and there's good reason to think it wouldn't pass the Senate either (with or without the two senators from Georgia). The January 6 joint session is traditionally a ceremonial one. This one will not be.

Many traditional pillars of Republican support have condemned the plan as futile and damaging. Certainly the Trump loyalists don't care - and many are likely doing it for fundraising purposes or to carry weight with the fraction of their constituencies that think this is a good idea.

Our “runner” gets apprehended. Another member of Trump’s crack legal team. Oh wait, maybe they were ON crack…..lol

    Insurrectionist stuff:
A Colorado man charged for helping to drag a law enforcement officer into a crowd during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, was sentenced to over five years in prison Thursday, according to prosecutors.

On top of the sentence, Jeffrey Sabol, 53, was also given three years of supervised release and ordered to pay over $32,000 in restitution, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. He has been convicted of three felony charges including obstruction of an official proceeding in relation to his conduct during the Jan. 6 riot.

Sabol traveled from Colorado to Washington, D.C., to watch former President Trump speak at his “Stop the Steal” rally at the Ellipse on the day of the Jan. 6 riot, according to court documents. He traveled with fellow members of a “self-described ‘neighborhood watch’ group.”

“Before leaving, the group members discussed what to bring with them,” the press release said. “On the advice of one group member, Sabol packed a helmet, a trauma kit, a buck knife, and zip ties.”

Following the rally, he made his way to the Capitol and joined the riot, the release said. At one point, he “assisted two rioters in dragging a law enforcement officer down the steps and into” a mob, where “rioters beat the officer with a flagpole and a baton.”

5 years is not enough. Regardless, good riddance.
Man they (the Biden campaign) had better blanket the airwaves with ads displaying the depravity of what Trump enabled that day.

Show the fear of the officers, show the extraordinary violence where the shirt is beaten out of them in support of Donald Trump - show all of it.

the footage of that cop caught in the revolving door is terrible to watch

But, with that's cop's permission (don't do it otherwise) it should be shown in ads for that exactly that reason

In fact pull a Trump/Godfather move and have as many cops as possible who were there that day attend the debates front row center

An actor who has appeared in the likes of NCIS and The Rookie has been arrested for allegedly taking part in the January 6 riot at the US Capitol.

Nolan Freeman spent around 28 minutes inside the Capitol, after entering through a broken window alongside other Donald Trumpsupporters that day, according to a charging document revealed by Politico.

Mr Freeman was tracked down as part of an FBI investigation into all those supporters of the former president involved in the riot, seeking to overturn the 2020 election results.

Agents have scoured through video footage and images, from security cameras, phones and TV cameras, seeking out suspects.…..

“Jeffrey Clark, a former senior official in the U.S. Justice Department, made false claims as he attempted to enlist the agency in former President Donald Trump's efforts to undo his 2020 election loss, a Washington ethics lawyer said on Tuesday.

Clark is facing a disciplinary hearing which could see him lose his license to practice law. Trump tried to put Clark in charge of the Justice Department in his administration's final days as Clark sought to pursue the former president's false claims of widespread voter fraud.

"What Mr. Clark was attempting to do was essentially a coup at the Department of Justice," Hamilton "Phil" Fox, the District of Columbia Bar disciplinary counsel said in his opening argument.”
