I guess it's time to start a thread for this. We know that at least 140 members of Congress have pledged to join the objection. Under federal law, if at least one member of each house (HOR and Senate) objects, each house will adjourn the joint session for their own session (limited at two hours) to take up the objection. If both houses pass a resolution objecting to the EC result, further action can take place. If both houses do not (i.e. if one or neither passes a resolution), the objection is powerless and the college result is certified.

Clearly this is political theater as we know such a resolution will not pass the House, and there's good reason to think it wouldn't pass the Senate either (with or without the two senators from Georgia). The January 6 joint session is traditionally a ceremonial one. This one will not be.

Many traditional pillars of Republican support have condemned the plan as futile and damaging. Certainly the Trump loyalists don't care - and many are likely doing it for fundraising purposes or to carry weight with the fraction of their constituencies that think this is a good idea.

People who say there are only 2 genders are 100% wrong. Some people can be born with both. If you are born with both, technically you are not male or female. Now, doctors may fix it to where the infant is one or the other, but naturally they are not male or female.
Am i wrong about this?

Not only did Wray debunk the idea that there were Antifa or anarchists, possibly dressed as Trump supporters, responsible for the Capitol attack, he also debunked the idea that there was any sort of fraud during the election. How long will Rs who know better continue lying to their constituents?

What's going to happen if these people ever realize, accept and believe that they've been lied to?
They won't ever acknowledge that. The ones that are being arrested and charged are only saying they realize it was all a lie and that they are "no longer part of that lifestyle" are only doing so to try to have the charges dropped or stay out of jail until their trail starts. The people who actually realized it are the people who didn't vote for that assclown a second time.

I agree with that,

I guess I meant more if Trump, Giuliani, the pillow guy etc. are forced to testify under oath there is no fraud, there is no proof of any fraud, there never was any fraud, they knew there wasn't from day one and deliberately lied to their base for purely political reasons

Or even emails, texts or secret recordings of them saying as much

It's more of an issue with how we define "gender", or think what "gender" means. Traditionally, gender is defined as "males have penises and wear pants, females have vaginas and wear dresses"

Science, on the other hand, sees X and Y chromosomes, and there are more variants than just XX and XY. In your example, the person would have an XXY pairing, and be called an hermaphrodite. There are other pairings, but those pairings are called syndromes, because they are not common, or at least they are not commonly diagnosed if they don't have any physical manifestation, or any physical manifestation that would be considered "abnormal", like XXX, which commonly makes women taller than average, but it isn't necessarily so that a tall woman is XXX. Abnormal may not be the right word, as tall women are out of the norm. XXX does have other physical manifestations with health and appearance implications. XXX has been linked to kidney failures, but again, having kidney failure doesn't mean you are XXX.

And then there are the genes contained within the chromosomes... the biggest research so far has concluded that there is no "gay gene", but it showed that genes do have an impact on sexuality, which in turn would have an impact on a person's behavior.

That's a log way of saying, "there is only male/female, trust the science" is bogus.

Penises and vaginas are biological sex and have little to nothing to do with gender.

Ok ???

As I said, traditionally... nowadays a distinction is made between sex and gender, but that was not so in the past. It also depends on context.

I remember reading in a National Geographic years ago that some consider there to be 32 designations

the number may be off, but it was definitely in the 30s

it also may have been combinations of gender, sex and sexuality

but even so that’s a lot

The House of Representatives decided Wednesday to cancel its scheduled session on Thursday due to what authorities deemed credible reports of a second possible attack on the Capitol.

According to the Washington Post, the U.S. Capitol Police told lawmakers on Wednesday that they had "obtained intelligence that shows a possible plot to breach the Capitol by an identified militia group on Thursday, March 4." That specific date has circulated on right-wing conspiracy websites and social media as the day former President Trump is, according to the extremists, supposed to be sworn in again.

"Our Department is working with our local, state, and federal partners to stop any threats to the Capitol," the Capitol Police said in a statement on Wednesday. "We are taking the intelligence seriously. Due to the time-sensitive nature of this information, we cannot provide additional details at this time."

You referred to it in the present as to how gender "is defined". That's not an accurate definition and putting biological sex in a definition of gender only serves to confuse.

Yes, present. And I don't see how it confuses things. It is in the very definition of the word in the dictionary.

Trump could come out and say he’s not going to be sworn in on the 4th

he could come out and tell people to stay home and don’t do anything tomorrow, at the Capitol or anywhere else

he could say that he won’t be president again until he wins in 2024, stop thinking that he will before then and stop trying to do anything to make that happen

but he won’t
