Surely to be a clown show. We know that RFK certainly thinks he’s getting nominated for HHS, which includes FDA.

Older people with multiple co morbidities according to the cdc.Older people die more than younger ones. This is not earth shattering news.
It still doesn't change the fact covid didn't discriminate. I lost 5 friends who believed they'd
be in the 99% that wouldn't die.
Wyoming had one of the highest covid mortality rates. They are also the reddest state in the nation. How do you
explain this?
There are roughly 74 million children age 0-17 in the USA. .5%, according to the cdc with long covid. So 370,000.Are you talking about the data that shows 6 million kids have long covid?
And that matters how?You realize I have no idea if you live in blue or red state based off of this response.
Wyoming ranked 23rdOlder people die more than younger ones. This is not earth shattering news.

but if you cram them into a school then they spread it far worse.children spread it as evenly as adults.

The local community school system has 3 school buildings. And the community voted for Harris. Also Dem congress person. Also work with two private schools. Decidedly blue. All back in class late August based on solid data.
The next deadly pandemic may happen much sooner than we thoughtI will never understand why so many conservatives wanted to play victim about a novel deadly virus. But hoo boy do they ever want to play the victim. It’s pretty remarkable.
I love it when people who have zero epidemiological or medical knowledge glance at statistics and try to lord it over the experts. Truly a conservative speciality.
As I pointed out and was ignored - the mortality rate was very very different for about the entire first year. Protective equipment was in short supply and people were stubbornly refusing to use it when they did have access.
Sendai described the exact experience that many places had so I’m not entirely sure what he is complaining about. His experience is not different than our local school experience. Possibly they were out longer. My son who taught college in Missouri at the time was only out of the classroom for 1 semester. I think that was pretty standard here as well.

no indication that one was retracted. Most of these studies have been retracted.
Here ya go:
Long COVID Is Harming Too Many Kids. They Need Help.
Pediatric long COVID is more common than many thought, and we keep letting kids be reinfected with new variantswww.scientificamerican.com
no indication that one was retracted.
And being archived isn’t a retraction.
In August, the authors of the study retracted it. They did not admit to the errors we raised. But they did admit to new errors, and said these mistakes meant they understated the rate of affected children.
And that rate, according to other research, is quite high. The American Medical Association’s top journal, JAMA, in August published a key new study and editorial about pediatric long COVID. The editorial cites several robust analyses and concludes that, while uncertainty remains, long COVID symptoms appear to occur after about 10 percent to 20 percent of pediatric infections.
I’m not complaining about anything. Simply providing accurate data regarding Covid mortality. And no, the mortality data for the first year was not different.I love it when people who have zero epidemiological or medical knowledge glance at statistics and try to lord it over the experts. Truly a conservative speciality.

I’ll go with the .5% from the CDC study that was not retracted.A similiar study that showed a similar infection rate was retracted.

I’m focusing on one simple aspect. There was no need to keep schools closed. And we didn’t. The data supported us.Right, and it was already pointed in this thread. If mitigation didn't work, why did conseratives suffer higher rates of infection, and death?
At least covid gave us the answer to "Would conseratives die to stick it to the libs?" Yes, in droves.
It's like Sendia, and TJ are arguing for the right to be culled if we have another pandemic.

It’s a disease that kills old folks with multiple co morbidities.
DUMB! And when those kids got home and got their parents sick, what would've happened to them then?I’m focusing on one simple aspect. There was no need to keep schools closed. And we didn’t. The data supported us.
