Right-wing lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greenesays she will expose “sexual harassment and assault claims” against her fellow Republicans if the House Ethics Committee releases their “highly damaging” report on Matt Gaetz.

Representative Greene of Georgia defended Gaetz, Trump’s pick for attorney general, on Tuesday morning. She warned that “if we are going to release ethics reports and rip apart our own that Trump has appointed,” she will “put it ALL out there.”

“Yes..all the ethics reports and claims including the one I filed,” Greene wrote on X. “All your sexual harassment and assault claims that were secretly settled paying off victims with tax payer money.”

“The entire Jeffrey Epstein files, tapes, recordings, witness interviews, but not just those, there’s more, Epstein wasn’t/isn’t the only asset,” she added. “If we’re going to dance, let’s all dance in the sunlight. I’ll make sure we do.”…..

    Lol

My only thought to threatening to release every ethics report is this:

WHTM) – President-elect Donald Trump plans to nominate former Pennsylvania Senate nominee Dr. Mehmet Oz to serve as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator.

Oz lost Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race to John Fetterman in 2022 after beating Dave McCormick in the Republican primary by less than 1,000 votes.

Oz’s victory in the crowded primary came after Trump endorsed him in the final stretch of the race. Oz went on to lose the Senate race to Fetterman, who had suffered a stroke during the primary, by more than 263,000 votes.

Prior to running for Senate Oz hosted the Dr. Oz Show and was a frequent guest on Oprah Winfrey’s show providing medical advice that opponents called “quack” medicine.

“Our broken Healthcare System harms everyday Americans, and crushes our Country’s budget,” said Trump. Dr. Oz will be a leader in incentivizing Disease Prevention, so we get the best results in the World for every dollar we spend on Healthcare in our Great Country. He will also cut waste and fraud within our Country’s most expensive Government Agency, which is a third of our Nation’s Healthcare spend, and a quarter of our entire National Budget.”

Trump says he plans to have Oz work closely with his nominee for Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “to take on the illness industrial complex, and all the horrible chronic diseases left in its wake.”

“I have known Dr. Oz for many years, and I am confident he will fight to ensure everyone in America receives the best possible Healthcare, so our Country can be Great and Healthy Again!,” said Trump.…….

I saw a hilarious scenario posted by someone.

On Jan 19, 2025, the senate leadership caves into Donald Trump's demands, and announces that they are going on recess from noon Jan 20 through noon Jan 22. This recess would give Trump the ability to populate his cabinet through recess appointments, allowing congress to avoid blame for confirming his ridiculous unqualified choices. At the inauguration, Joe Biden gives his short goodbye speech, and includes "...in an effort to expedite the transition to a new administration, all of my cabinet members have informed me that they were resigning at 11:59am today. This vacates all of the seats so that President Trump can fill them as quickly as possible."

What makes it so funny is that the constitution says that "The President shall have power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate...." Since those vacancies did not "happen during the Recess of the Senate," Trump would not be able to fill them by recess appointments, and would still need to get them confirmed.

Since those vacancies did not "happen during the Recess of the Senate," Trump would not be able to fill them by recess appointments, and would still need to get them confirmed.

Those kinds of scenarios are interesting - but the one modern SCOTUS case on recess appointment power holds that the recess must be at least 10 days (though the Court left open whether it meant that 10 days is always enough - it might not be). The Court also resolved the “may happen” language to mean vacancies that occur during a recess but also those that already existed.

This of course paves the way for abuse of the power because it ostensibly allows a president to wait for a recess to make appointment for any existing vacancy, particularly in situations where a president has a completely compliant Congress.

It’s also interesting to note that the conservatives, led by a concurring opinion from Scalia joined by Thomas, Scalia, and Roberts, contended that the power was needed back when Congress only met a few months in a year due to logistical issues of the time - but under current conditions it should be restrained because the “normal order” is clearly for the Senate’s advice and consent.

Is this a joke? Dr Oz? Matt Gaetz??? Really scraping the bottom of the swamp here.

My parents are big Trumpets and they are retired and on Medicaid. I wonder how they feel about Dr Oz....that quack doctor from TV.....suddenly being a very important person in their lives. Unfortunately we can't talk about these topics because they can't handle it.

He will solve the health crisis like Kushner solved the middle east.
