    How do y'all think the Ukranian controversy will affect Biden? On the one hand, I think it could help Biden, because they'll be angry at Trump. On the other hand, some people are going to become suspicious of Biden. A lot will depend on how Biden handles the future questions about Hunter. I don't think it will matter what happens in the senate trial, nor what Trump says about it afterwards. I think it is up to Biden, but I'm leaning toward it hurting him in the long run, and Trump will get his wish. I think someone will overtake Biden in the long run in part due to this Trumped up controversy. What are your thoughts?

    If he gets questions asked about it he will probably just reply by telling people they can change their oil with a fresh box of Cheerios.

    I think it's going to hurt, and his dealings China may even be worse.

    But, it's complicated. People are going to have dig in and educate themsleves. MSNBC is unlikely to do any investigative journalism any time soon.

    If Joe Biden did ANYTHING wrong in China, then it would be more than he’s done in the Ukraine, since all evidence to date indicates that he is completely innocent with respect to Ukraine. The problem is that Trump has convinced people that he may not be innocent. I have no problem condemning wrongdoing if evidence is found. So far there is no substance to Republican nor Trump’s allegations. My question was how will the allegations affect Joe. I know he will have to spend a lot of time defending himself, which should be easy, but defending Hunter won’t be easy and could hurt him.
     
    He shouldn’t have to defend Hunter. Trading on Daddy’s influence has been raised to an art form by both the current occupant of the WH and his adult children.

    Okay, well I guess more to the point of your question. Biden is going to continue to be asked questions about Hunter and based on the way Joe has handled such questions so far, he has no chance of winning the general election if he can even get the nomination.

    This issue is not going to be resolved through a pushup contest.

    Republicans ignore all of Trump’s hypocrisy but Democrats are very critical of any slight hypocrisy, so he will get asked, while Trump will get a pass.
     
    Maybe the title of this thread should be changed to 2020 Democratic Candidates Tracker / Whatabout Trump.

    Pete is the best leader of the bunch.

    The public is way too focused on the plans the candidates propose when the executive branch doesn't legislate anyway. The plans proposed during the campaign never come to fruition in the form the candidate proposed, if at all.

    We should vote for POTUS based on who is the best leader, and demand that our Congressmen do their job and pass policies.

    I think it is interesting that complaints about him include that he is white and that he is racist. Or course, there is the complaint that he isn't really gay enough. You had to know that one was coming.

    What does not gay enough even mean? Is he supposed to dress in purple and pink and scream "Yasss queen"?
