After months of internal arguing among Democrats over whether to impeach President Donald Trump, the dam is finally breaking in favor of trying to remove him from office. The Washington Post reported that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would announce a formal impeachment inquiry on Tuesday, following a bombshell report that Trump illegally asked Ukraine’s government to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, one of his political opponents. (He essentially admitted to having done so over the weekend.)

“Now that we have the facts, we’re ready,” Pelosi said Tuesday morning at a forum hosted by The Atlantic. At 5 p.m. the same day, she was back with more. "The actions taken to date by the president have seriously violated the constitution, especially when the president says Article Two says I can do whatever I want," referring to the segment of the Constitution that defines the power of the executive branch of the government. Pelosi's message was that checks and balances of those branches are just as central to the Constitution. And one more thing: "Today, I am announcing the House of Representatives is moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry," she said at a conference broadcast on Twitter by the Huffington Post. ...

He was transferred back to the Defense department to another position. He still has a job and wasn't fired right?

NSC officials publicly criticizing the President's policies have had consequences in the past.

Right. He still has a job. I am not sure how it works at that level.

According to his lawyer, it seems both he and his twin brother were fired from the National Security Council, then reassigned. I mean you can both be fired and reassigned I suppose.

Alexander Vindman's lawyer said the "truth" had "cost LTC Alexander Vindman his job, his career, and his privacy. He did what any member of our military is charged with doing every day: he followed orders, he obeyed his oath, and he served his country, even when doing so was fraught with danger and personal peril. And for that, the most powerful man in the world - buoyed by the silent, the pliable, and the complicit - has decided to exact revenge."

Yeah, you've made it clear that you despise Trump supporters.

Hopefully the Democratic leadership will say things like that right up to November. It does nothing but help the GOP.

Oh, Trump’ll win again in November, no doubt in my mind.

And i’m sure that makes you as giddy as a little schoolgirl, which tells me exactly everything i need to know about ya.

If tweeting disparaging remarks about the administration under a pseudonym and testifying to Congress are the same thing to you, then I got nothing for ya.

Just keep on excusing and rewarding trump's poor behavior.

Oh, I am definitely feeling good this week. Everything has worked out better than I could have imagined. Iowa may actually turn out to be the best of all.

At some point we are going to run out of people even remotely competent even in the intel community.

Say what you want about the swamp, but years of experience isn’t something as easily replaced as the MAGA crowd likes to pretend. Knowing things is important. There is a learning curve.

Turnover at these high level positions means the learning curve starts over every time a person is replaced, and for the higher level jobs, even much of the support staff is replaced. At least in the area of intelligence, it is a dangerous situation.

They both criticized the Administration's policies that they were working for and the serve at the pleasure of the President right? Vindman still has his job. He was transferred and not fired. I doubt anyone who was working to undermine the President's agenda would last long in any administration.

    All right guys, who's next?

Is Eric Ciaramella still in the House? There has to a plush new position for him somewhere.

    We CANNOT let that happen.

I hate to break it to you podnuh, but you and i have very little say in whether or not he gets re-elected.

Just like “Beach friends” and those of her ilk have very little say.. All we have is our one vote... I guess if we can mobilize more of us to go out and vote, rather than more individuals like “Beach friends” and their cronies, then we’d have a shot.. But with the disorganized, chaotic mess that is the Democratic Party, i’d rather not hold onto false hope.

Some interesting background on Schiff and his connections to the military industrial complex that wants perpetual war.
