It seems that a billionaire GOP donor has spent a small fortune on vacations for Ginni and Clarence Thomas.

I literally said I didn't think it was right to deny Obama the appointment, but hypothetically if the that situation was reversed do you think Democrats wouldn't have done the same thing?

You found the woman who couldn't remember the year, the place of when the supposed rape happened to be credible? Do you find it coincidental at all that the Democrats accused two different conservative SCOTUS nominees of being rapists?

I don't plan on diving back into the Kavanaugh hearings enough to debate it with you now; that has come and gone. Yes, at the time I was following it, I believed there was enough credibility to her account to be taken seriously and I also believed that other allegations against him should have been investigated more thoroughly, or even half-heartedly, as opposed to what actually took place.

I don't side with Gorsuch ideologically and it doesn't sit well that the process that allowed him to be confirmed was so politically manipulated, but I don't think there are serious disputes about his character and credentials to be on the court. Try being open-minded about this stuff.

Not talking about either Kavanaugh it or Gorsucht.

We are discussing Clarence Thomas and Alito getting caught red handed taking bribes from people that had cases in front of them. And it had been going on for decades.

But you don't care about that

I see why you didn't quote my post when you replied. You are calling me out for not caring about this subject while the vast majority of yall are crickets in response Hillary being exposed as creating the Trump Russia collusion narrative and the judge ruling that the Biden administration can't push social media companies to censor due to the 1st ammendment. Glass houses?

I found Anita Hill very believable. And Saint Ronnie the Dim-Witted had Bork get a hearing before being rejected. What McConnell did was far outside the lines as to be blatantly ridiculous. Beer Bong Brett was not investigated to any real extent.

Like all lobbying the Federalist Society should be required to put forth their Fascist recommendations in the light of day.

It just keeps looking worse and worse for Thomas.

Clarence Thomas has been corrupt and doing corrupt things as soon as he took his seat on the Supreme Court. It's not just on equal rights protection issues that he's been corrupt.

So you agree we badly need ethical reform? I’m glad to hear that, because previously I have the impression that you didn’t think it was a big deal.

Also, who was it who insisted on here recently that the press was so biased that they would never report any ethical issues with the more progressive justices? It was either you or one other poster. I remember it because I thought that was a load of crap which goes with the incredibly false narrative that the media is biased. I know for a fact you support that conspiracy theory.

So will you agree this story tends to work against your notion that the mainstream media is biased?

Yeah, I'm 100% for SCOTUS ethics reform.

They have the vote on the calendar:

When's the vote for the bill that prevents insider trading by Senators and the House of Representatives? Until then I'll just roll my eyes at the calls from Congress about ethics.

Truly a LOL! Aren’t those goalposts kinda heavy?
