We’ve heard the GOP almost unanimously claiming that this indictment is clearly flawed, since you can’t criminalize lying.

This DOES mean that those individuals will stop claiming that Hunter got a sweetheart deal with the gun charge, right? Isn’t that lying being criminalized?

Yeah you need to have your head in the sand not to figure out that’s his legal strategy. That tells me that he knows the evidence is overwhelming. And because this dc judge already wants to discuss scheduling promptly on the first hearing, he talks of the venue unfairness. He’s such a scumbag.

I want to add that that some of the dc appeals judge were present at the arraignment. These judges know and they they aren’t buying this strategy.

In all seriousness, I don't think we can rationalize what these defenses by maga/trump acolytes other than that they're just turd thrown at the wall to see what sticks. We see this with Trump's campaigning. He throws junk out, like referring to folks by childish names. These aren't deep thoughtful arguments. Remember the "I'm smarter than the generals" comment? Listen to Bobert and Greene. What you said makes sense to any reasonable person. To them, it only matters if it benefits them, even if they said the exact opposite 5 minutes earlier.
