When playing the word association game people almost always go with the word's opposite

    Wet-Dry

    Day-Night

    Hot-Cold

    Right........Left?

But you can easily argue the opposite of right is wrong - was that intentional?

Does anyone know when and how Conservative/Republican viewpoints came to be known as right and Liberal/Democrat ones as left?

Why isn't it the other way around?

    Just something I've wondered about

Neither. It’s a racist that has something against Blacks and their lack of edible fungi.
I guess I just can't think of a single Democrat that I know that would be putting out mailers like that while I can think of plenty Republicans who would. Was it the DNC that celebrated a couple pointing guns at people marching down their street because they were black? I'm not saying it's approved Republican literature, just that it's most likely sent out by racist Republicans.

Glad you caught that typo too.

And this is Louisiana's own Clay Higgins being outwardly racist.

Remember when Fear of a Black Planet came out way back when? It's materializing in warp speed right now.

I was told the riots and looting were caused by outside agitators and most are white some are even nazi and white supremacist.

I was also told that the protesters were not the same people as the rioter and looters. Is that now incorrect?

It must be, becasue now if someone is against rioting and looting, they are racist because the rioters and looters are now solely black? If they are not solely black then the cries of racism are not really racism and just a political ploy, in my opinion.

This is that type of white blindness that as a minority, really pisses me off because is allows passive (and in this case) active racism to continue. If you really didn't think he meant to single out black people with that statement, then why would he accompany that post with a picture of armed black men?

Why not a picture of Kyle Rittenhouse, who actually murdered 2 people? Why not the armed militia men in Portland? Hell, why not armed white Antifa members?

Honestly, this type of excuse making for obviously coded racist talk is more damaging and corrosive to our society and any ability to mend the racial divides that exist than out and proud KKK members.

Well, they were French...so they sucked by that standard alone.

I personally I like france. The tour de france is going on right now! france but reminds me of one of my favorite songs.

NSFW just if ya still got a job.

I really just like an excuse to post a zappa song. I

I was replying to a post that intended to link all people who don't share the lefts political opinion as racist. I thought that was disgusting so I commented.

"white blindness"? I swear I get to hear a new term from that left every week that is really just a new racist term they invented.

This is what he is referring to.

Yeah, I saw that video posted on twitter yesterday but just posted Higgins's reaction to it since that reaction is to murder any black people he sees marching with weapons. I seriously doubt he'd have the same reaction if it was a group of white people marching while armed. I just assumed everyone in south Louisiana knew about the video/protest.

ETA: The NFAC is an awesome name for a group/movement.

Why are some Americans afraid of other Americans expressing their second amendment rights?

I have seen that footage a hundred times over the years. In Michigan there was that exact scene over Covid state shutdown. They even breeched the state building.

what is different about this scene that causes some such discomfort and fear?

    Being black. Period.

Was it conservatives who called a black woman a prop after she made the choice to speak at a Republican convention? It is often white liberals who call blacks Uncle Toms who express views different from Democrats - see the Democratic Party leader.

When the president himself has said "There's my black supporter" (or something along those lines at a rally), I don't think calling her a prop is out of line based on his own words and actions.

I don't even know who "the Democratic Party Leader" is that you're referring to and don't remember any news about someone in power calling black people uncle Tom. I'm not denying that there are Democrats that use the term, though none that I associate with, but calling someone a name and threatening to murder people because they're black and armed are not equal. Are you referring to Biden's "You ain't black" comment" where he never said the words Uncle Tom? I can't find anything where a Leader of the Democratic Party calls anyone an Uncle Tom.

And here's the difference. If people want to use degrading language privately, fine. That's their right. Sending out mailers to "White Wauwatosa Residents" and encouraging them to do whatever it takes to keep their neighborhoods white is the same BS that started the white flight in the 60's and 70's and is encouraging hatred and stoking fear in people they may never have had before getting those letters.
