Hmmm…regarding Haley that is accurate even if it comes from a scammer.
He’s not a stupid person, and he‘s obviously not scared of offending people. He’s still a soulless scam artist though.

”Stupid” is an interesting term. It, imo, implies an inability to learn. I would say he has learned but we can question what he has learned. I think that he is cunning. Which can also be debated as to the manner. Scam artist is, imo, accurate. He is a “tech-bro” meaning that his success in one field, possible scam or not, automatically endows himself with expertise he does not have.

I think Vivek is confusing, unintentionally or not, more open racial conflict with more actual racism. He says that focusing on the systemic racism is creating more racism.

Vivek is using the same flawed logic that Trump did regarding COVID. Trump said if we stop testing/looking for COVID cases, then there won't be as many COVID cases. The flawed logic is that looking for or testing for something causes that something to exist. It doesn't.

No matter how much you look for or focus on something, if it doesn't exist, then you won't find it. I can rip my apartment apartment apart looking for a book that contains the secret of life, but I'm never going to find it, because it doesn't exist.

Likewise, pointing out systemic racism doesn't create systemic racism. In fact the opposite is true, the only way we are ever going to do away with systemic racism is to point it out and correct it every time it happens.

What Vivek is arguing for, unintentinally or not, is for us to shut up and turn a blind eye to the systemic racism he admits exists, so that we "don't create more racism." Racism is very much like cancer, if you ignore it, then it only gets worse and there's no chance of it getting better.

Predictions of the end of Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign for the presidential nomination are premature, a senior aide insisted, as the biotech entrepreneur who enjoyed early success with a brash and aggressive campaign contemplated a final Iowa debate taking place on Wednesday night without him.

Tricia McLaughlin, Ramaswamy’s senior adviser and communications director, said: “The energy we’re seeing on the ground in Iowa is electric, and that level of turnout and excitement is far surpassing the cratering DeSantis and astroturfed Haley campaigns.”…..:

McLaughlin said: “The mainstream media may be quick to write our obituary but that’s because they’re oblivious to the facts on the ground. We’re going to finish in the top three. Mark my words.”

DeSantis is widely held to need to secure second place in Iowa or face dropping out himself. The primary next moves on to New Hampshire. There, FiveThirtyEight.com puts Trump at 42%, Haley at 30%, Christie at 12%, DeSantis at 6% and Ramaswamy another point further back.

Ramaswamy has certainly been busy in Iowa – he has pulled off a “double Grassley” by visiting all 99 counties in the state, a feat popularised by Chuck Grassley, the 90-year-old Republican US senator, but in Ramaswamy’s case doing it twice.

With the endorsement of the controversial former congressman Steve King in his pocket (as well as support from the YouTube star Jake Paul and OJ Simpson), Ramaswamy has maintained a punishing pace, this week’s schedule featuring seven events on Tuesday and another nine on Wednesday.……

One of Donald Trump’s top advisers has poured cold water on Vivek Ramaswamy’s chances of becoming the former president’s running mate.

“Pretty safe to say it won’t be Vivek,” Jason Miller, who served as spokesperson for Mr Trump’s 2016 campaign and a senior adviser to his failed 2020 bid, toldthe New York Postabout Mr Trump’s vice presidential pick.

Back in August, Mr Trump had told a conservative TV host that he was mulling Mr Ramaswamy as a potential contender.

However, in a blistering attack on Saturday on his Truth Social platform ahead of the Republican Iowa caucuses, Mr Trump accused Mr Ramaswamy of being “sly”, having “deceitful campaign tricks” and not fitting his Maga mould.……

He called him “sly” and “deceitful”? How funny.

Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy said Monday that he is suspending his 2024 Republican presidential campaign after a disappointing finish in Iowa’s leadoff caucuses.

Ramaswamy, 38, endorsed his rival, former President Donald Trump. He has previously called Trump the “best president of the 21st century” even as he tried to convince Republican voters that they should opt for “fresh legs” and “take our America First agenda to the next level.”…..

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) and biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy were tied for first place as Republican grassroot activists’ preference for former President Trump’s vice presidential pick

In Saturday’s straw poll, former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard came in second at 9 percent, followed by House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) and Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) at 8 percent
